Believe Bigger: Discover the Path to Your Life Purpose

A good friend of mine recommended this book and it was exactly what I needed to bet on me. I enjoyed everything about this book and am grateful for the transparency, authenticity and biblical notes. Definitely a must-read!

There was a time when I thought I was free, or at least relatively free. I had a great corporate gig, I worked 9 til whenever, I had the title, short ones, long ones. I did well for myself. I really did. There were promotions and dollars that went along with those promos. Very nice bonuses and incentives. I was living! I would coach people to stretch themselves, think outside the box, be the best they could be. I was great at encouraging others to meet or even exceed their potential. We would set goals and strategize. I helped many a folk realize their potential and manifest their life desires and dreams. Yeah, I was living the life and serving others.I had helped so many people that I forgot about me, my potential and my dreams. Then life showed up in a way that forced me to look at me spiritually, mentally, emotionally and financially. Even though I was living a great life and felt free. I found I was free alright, free inside the neat little box I created for myself. It may have been a nice size box but that didn’t matter. It was still a box! Believe Bigger is a book whose title is even challenging for me. BELIEVE BIGGER. About what though? Well, Everything! Marshawn Evans Daniels has written a book that should be a textbook on life. She speaks from her heart, her experiences, her spirituality and from her soul. It seems she discerned the voice of God and put it all in book form. This book, Believe Bigger, came to life, spoke to me and woke something up in me. I have attended and have been trained by Marshawn in areas of speaking, coaching and branding. But Believe Bigger, the book, has hit me in places I did not think existed in me.Believe Bigger is not just a book to read and set aside. It is a movement. If we just pay attention. God is calling us to rise above the mediocre, the mundane, the everyday routine to the life of deep faith, excitement, abundance and adventure. I’m not talking about finances either, certainly that can be a part of it. But it is just a piece of it, the pie of life is much, much bigger. Marshawn has answered questions that I did not know I had. She has shown me that I can live successfully in every area of my life.I can believe bigger about my faith, my dreams and the vision I have for my life. There really is nothing for me to fear. There are things in life and people around me that I do not have to tolerate. Marshawn’s Believe Bigger has lit a fire under me and I am challenged to believe bigger, to live bigger and to be a better person in the world and to me. It is going to be a challenge, maybe messy at times, but I am ready for it. All I can say to anyone reading this is to, Come! join the movement.

There’s really only one word that I can use to describe this book: rich. I’d consider myself an avid reader, particularly of the Christian/Self-Help genre. Of all the books I’ve read, this book is by far the most engaging, relevant, and with the most substance. Not only do your turn each page inspired, but you’re also given actionable steps and points of reflection for your life.I immediately connected with Marshawn within the first few pages. I won’t be a spoiler, but many of the things that she experienced in her life were, in some way, mirrored in my own. As a reader, I could see myself in the book. It was as though I was reading my life. This made it more powerful as I progressed through the chapter. I could easily see where my life could go if I applied the principles of the book.Marshawn is transparent in such a way that is not only alluring, but relatable. She cleverly uses her life’s story to share a message of faith, hope, purpose, and believing bigger. If this book doesn’t inspire you to walk into your purpose, I don’t know what will!I have been encouraged by this book to keep walking in my calling and to believe that greater is yet to come. I’ve shared this book to everyone I’m connected to and I would encourage you to make this a part of your library.

I could go on and on. I have already recommended this book to 3 coaching clients and a family member. As a coach, I have read MANY books and countless trainings and talks around the subject of purpose. This book is one of the best, if not the best I have read. It is PACKED with meaty morsels that will no doubt help people unlock the doors on their path to purpose. Marshawn's writing style is exquisite. She combines storytelling and teaching with a writing style that is sophisticated and reminded me of my days in AP English where we identified different stylistic tools of acclaimed authors. She is more than an author, she is a writer. I recently published a book and I saw so many things that I could do to up-level my own presentation (not that that matters to all of you, but I want to share that in case she reads this.) This book is not a fluffy read. It is meant for people who are ready for a renewal of mind and transformation.It is both prophetic and therapeutic. A bad ass combination that will leave you in awe of God and his unique PROCESS for your life.To get the best out of this book, I will recommend some quiet time and marker pens as it is highly interactive. Marshawn (the author) is not simply dumping information on you but encourages you to actively participate on your journey towards purpose and satisfaction in God's plan for YOU.
