Best Of The Three Main Blackest Night Book's (most consistent story structure)
This is the best of the three main blackest night book's blk-ngt, B.N-G.L, B.N.-G.L.C. Then if you want to complete the full Blackest Night cross-over book's with B.N. Tales Of The Corps, B.N. Tales Of The Black Lantern Corps Vol.1-2Peter J. Tomasi writes the most consistent (and best) of the three main B.L. book's .All three of the art team's on the main book's were equally stellar but I always feel that Patrick Gleason is the the most underrated of the three even through he was the most consistent in output, but GLC wasn't as pour in sales.Brief rundown synopsis: Guy & Kyle headed back to Oa as their being chased by black rings while the G.L.Corps deal with the aftermath of the science cell riots and now have to contend with black lanterns possessed dead G.L's, Criminals, and G.L.C. families to illicit emotional responses to steal their heart's making new black lanterns, once the B.L. Zombies reach 100% power they switch to devouring the main power battery, somebody dies and is resurrected, A G.L. becomes a dual Green & Red Lantern Is devastated, the fight moves to earth and all th rainbow (ROYGBIV) corps join against the dead. And the immediate aftermath the clean up of Oa and forced to recognize their mis-appropriate actions leading into blackest night

Pretty fun Blackest Night tie-in
This hardcover edition is much like the two first books (speaking about the edition). It's a big black book with some extra features at the end like alternative cover gallery and some character sketches. The presentation is good.Regarding the story, is not as great as the main books, but it does have cool moments. The bad thing of reading first "BN" and "BN: GL" is that you already knows about the end of Green Lantern Corps #42. Nevertheless, is was reaaaaaally cool!.As I said on my title, this is very good to be only a tie-in. I did took out one star out because I don't like much Patrick Gleason's art. He's drawings are ok for books with less importance such as "To Be a Lantern" or "Recharge", but for something as big as Blackest Night... Well, it doesn't work quite well. Ivan Rise and Doug Manhke did a TERRIFIC job on the main books. I couldn't feel but a bit dissapointing with this one.Other than that, this is a good book. Fun read...

Needs Blackest Night but a fun read
If you read this alone you will be lost, but this was a fun read to have in accordance to Blackest Night. Guy Gardner as a Red Lantern was awesome, and then battling the Black Lanterns was a great as well. Get this book of your reading Blackest Night!

Green Lantern Corps: Blackest Night
For years, the Green Lantern titles have been on fire! The stories are great. Blackest Night is one of the best. The sense of dread and urgency was palpable. "Green Lantern Corps: Blackest Night" is required reading. I recommend it to everyone.

Good story but reminds me why I don't read Corps.
I have been avoiding Green Lantern Corps since it has started but during the hype for Blackest Night I preordered everything Blackest Night related. But I simmered down and kept my list to Blackest Night, Blackest Night: Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps: Blackest Night (although at this point I have read everything) anyways, out of all the Blackest Night Tie Ins this isn't the worst or the best. I don't pick up Green Lantern Corps not because of its writing, but because I think it has pretty bland art. The art is just unpleasant for me to look at. It doesn't have to be done from Jim Lee but it could be a lot clearer. Green Lantern Corps: Blackest Night also isn't relevant to the story too much either. With the second half being a lot more interesting then the first. So its something that you could either take it or leave it, I suggest you leave it.

Very Good Work By Tomasi
The writing and art in this collection is excellent. However, it's legitimacy is undermined by (admittedly small) ret-cons present in the main Blackest Night story arc. It's really disappointing because it shows that Geoff Johns doesn't even pay attention to what the other people at DC are writing (even when it's directly connected to his story).

Great Zombie Reading
I got all of the Blackest Night books not only because I love DC, but because of the zombie angle also. Once you start, you just can't stop with the Blackest Night books. Just make sure you read Green Lantern: Blackest Night first! Nothing else will make sense until you read that first.

Any GL fan must get this hard cover collection for Blackest Night.
A great collection of all the comics that made up the collective Green Lantern Corps: Blackest Night. It's a nice addition to any collection and it's a nice hard cover book to boot.

An okay Blackest Night tie-in
This graphic novel is based on the Green Lantern Corps defending their home planet of OA against the black lanterns. This novel is action packed and the artwork is okay but the overall story is mediocre. It's probably one of the best GLC novels in Peter J. Tomasi's run, the rest of the GLC novels are poor-mediocre but I'm probably only saying that because I'm not a fan of his writing. Sure I enjoy the way he writes the characters (especially Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner) but I find most his GLC stories to be kind of underwhelming. Also Patrick Gleason is not a bad artist but compared to the likes of other artists who have worked on Green Lantern over the years such as Ivan Reis and Doug Mahnke, Gleason's artwork just ends up looking kind of cartoony. I only recommend this graphic novel to hardcore Green Lantern fans and for those who want to collect the entire Blackest Night series.

Blackest night bookended
YEt to read the entire book because Blackest Night: Green Lantern hasn't arrived, but one thing to say is they arranged the three main books in the most complicated way - you have to flick back and forth between them to get a sense of what is going on.Having said that, the artwork is higher than tyhe usual standard in Corps books, and the fight scences intence. Definitely worth a read.
