Sweet and Simple
I finally took the time to read about these characters after seeing glimpses of them in the Stealth Opps books. This was a simple but heart warming story that made me fall in love with the characters.

4 1/2*
Incredible story! There were moments of intense emotional agony and it was hard to imagine how to work through them. But the author absolutely did! I loved Noah and Grace!! Noah is a dream come true — loyal, intense, loving, passionate! He had so much heartache to overcome and I loved the HEA!!

Holy Moly
What an amazing read by Brittney Sahin, but then again I'm not surprised when it comes to this author who knows how to write and pull me right into the thick of the story. It's not the same action suspense as in the other books but oh my it does not matter as the suspense is all around the main characters, Noah & Grace, their lives and future. Noah's battle with his ex wife, whether he will get custody of his daughter and what's in the envelope she gives him, will he go into private security or stay with his sister in her company, how will he deal with his growing feelings for Grace. Then there is Grace, will she break free from her father and his company, will her brother's stick by her, what happened in Greece and is there still a threat, what will happen with Patrick, as well as her feelings for Noah. The "no strings attached" gets complicated for both of them as they deal with everything and everyone else around them, finding comfort in each other but not willing to admit there's more strings than either of them anticipated...tying them together.Noah may will be the perfect man, he was faithful to his ex wife, wasn't a man wh***, honest and always looking out for the other person, controlling his anger when others may have exploded and fighting for his daughter with everything he has and was thoughtful, giving, and intense towards Grace....I don't think I have ever sighed and swooned so much at a character before.Grace was a little more complicated, living under the thumb of her father, him dictating her life leaving her no control over her future...until Noah. She breaks down her walls for him, trusting him, confiding in him, living for the first time in her life for herself and I loved how the author made it a gradual growth for Grace, chipping away at her defences little by little and reading how she develops to be her own person right in front of my eyes and even willing to sacrifice herself so that Noah can be happy.A read that left me angry and balling my fists at times, a read that made me sigh and swoon at the steamy and tender times, a read that made my eyes misty and feeling for these two, a read that made me smile so big my jaw hurt when they finally get their HEA they fought so hard to get. CONGRATS Brittney Sahin for a read that has made it into the top 10 of my all time favourites.

I couldn't put it down!
“This is a little bit of heaven, isn’t it?”Yes, it is, Grace.Someone Like You by Brittney Sahin — SLY to fans — is SO good!A book I can slip inside, gobble up like comfort food, and snuggle.“There’s a hint of Southern that drifts from his speech, but it’s like a quick kiss caressing his words, rather than a deep love affair.”Noah’s devotion and honesty aren’t qualities Brittney Sahin simply tells the reader about. She shows us. In the way Noah calls out the word “Wait” to his estranged wife, in the way he presses two fingers to the screen of his laptop when saying goodbye to his daughter on chat. It’s even in the way he attempts to enter the singles scene in New York. And then he sees Grace. “There’s something between us—something I don’t remember feeling for a long time.” And her name is beautiful by the way. It suits her perfectly. A woman with money, and the only daughter in a family with power. She seems worlds away from a man like Noah who served in the military and now moonlights as a construction worker. But sometimes two worlds collide. And sometimes the differences we think pull us apart, are the very things that bring us together.Grace has fears, some faraway and in her nightmares, and others part of the ocean and just as deep. “Sometimes what’s beneath the surface is worth getting to know.” And she’s been bred to be a lady of society — a place where it’s more acceptable to have an adulterous affair than a romance with a blue-collar worker — and expected to marry off the way Linus Larrabee wanted his brother, David, to do in the movie Sabrina. But poor Audrey Hepburn didn’t want to marry William Holden. She wanted Humphrey Bogart.Grace has to learn this lesson the hard way. She’s grown accustomed to denying her heart — “one moment is all I can have. The need to feel something deep, or even enjoyable, is off-limits for me.” — and has begun to doubt its very existence.“I did have dreams, didn’t I?” Grace wonders. It’s Noah who helps her find her way back to them. But along the way, Noah has his own war to wage, and it turns out it’s every bit as taxing as fighting terrorists was as a SEAL. “I was calm, though, in control as we had approached enemy territory. And even after I took down six targets and got a bullet in my quad, I stayed resolute. Nothing rattled me. Mission first, emotions second.”Life as a civilian, though, isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Fighting for what you want, takes courage. Brittney shows the reader the reality and the struggle and the heartbeat. And the result is purely magical.

Hearts that beat as one...
This was such a beautiful story. From heartbreak to HEANoah and Grace weren't meant to be, but the universe knew differently.Grace has nightmares, and even though she is no longer in that place, she can not control the fear that is so deeply buried.... until now.Noah's life has been turned upside down. He will never trust another woman again. He thought he had it all until he didn't. Fighting a battle against the evil of his past is killing him. Will he ever be able to live again?Their brief encounter has opened their world up again. Will her demons finally leave her alone? Will his life finally come together?Their truths are their's. Their unconditional love is theirs, and their future is what they want it to be.Beautifully written with so much emotion. A duel POV that will touch your heart. I love Brittney and her style of writing. Cannot wait for more.

Surprising new discovery!
Found this author by accident, read the book and went in search of her back catalogue finding this series. Loved it! Love alpha military guys, strong ladies who bring them to their knees and win their hearts against the odds, and this is up there!!Noah and Graces story is full of family complications, drama, emotions by the bucket load, saucy and sexy scenes and back stories that'll have the reader engrossed in the blink of an eye, not coming up for air until you're done! Recommended, off to read book 2

Meh!
This is a standalone romance novel with a HEA that forms part of a series with overlapping characters. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy it. I have seen too many of the key plot points before eg contents of the envelope, threats from the father. The heroine is twenty nine years old, a hugely successful businesswoman and yet still completely controlled by her father-pathetic. Never thought of selling her assets , taking the money and working for someone else, somewhere else? Also not that impressed that sex ends up seeming to be her answer for any emotional problem or difficulty. Not for me.

Engaging
An emotionally charged story with enough twist and turns to keep you entertained until the end, and some really relatable characters.
