LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this brush!!! My daughter has waist length hair that is wavy with a few spots of very defined curls. Combing out her hair has been a very trying experience for years. This Boar Bristle Brush is the best brush I have ever used on her. It works on her hair, both wet and dry and works better than the wide tooth detangling comb I bought specifically for her wet hair. It has cut down our hair brushing time by more than half and no more crying!! I use this brush on my fine shoulder length hair and it does not pull or break my hair. It also feels really great on my scalp, but does seem to stimulate oil production and can cause my hair to look greasy. I can avoid this problem by only brushing my roots lightly and up and away from my scalp. This is not a problem on my daughters thicker hair and actually have noticed an improvement in the health of her hair since we have started using this brush.

I love this brush!! I don't have strong feelings about this brish for me personally and it's not the brush that I myself normally use, but this brush has completely changed how I feel about brushing my daughter's hair and how she feels scout having her hair brushed. After more mornings than I can count ending in tears, grumpiness, fighting and raised voices, is reached the end of my rope. I was so tired of the fight that went along with brushing my daughter's hair. After doing some research I decided to take a chance and buy this brush. I am so glad that I did! I will be buying more too! I'd like to have a spare in my bathroom just in case my daughter ever misplace her brush. I think I'll even buy one just for her suitcase. It's made enough of a difference that I don't see any reason to ever use another brush for my daughter's hair. I do not know why or how, but my daughter doesn't feel like this brush hurts or pulls. When it dies pull a little it's very minimal and she doesn't think it's hard enough to even bother her. After my research I also purchased some SheaMoisture KIDS Extra-Moisturizer Detangler - Coconut & Hibiscus to use when her hair is extra tangled and needs some added help. The combination of that detangler and this brush has been nothing short of magical. We are very happy with this awesome brush!!

I ordered this for me, but this brush is HUGE! OMG it is perfect for men, boys with thick hair. LOL To give you an example of the size diff between brush and my head; when I lay the brush on the top of my scalp, there is empty space on both outside edges of the brush. My 13 year old son (with gorgeous thick hair) loves this brush because his hair doesn't get tangled and he said it feels good on his scalp. So there you go, thick hair and probably more of a brush for men or teen boys (possible females with thick, long hair could use this brush)... I took away 1 star because I still don't have a brush I can use ;)

I have purchased every detangling brush and comb from Sally's, walmart, and target for my 3 year old daughter and finally realized I should have checked Amazon first. I ordered this brush after reading all the reviews on several of the top detangling brushes on Amazon.My daughters hair is type 3b and it is all the way down to her bottom when wet, it has been a nightmare to detangle at times. When she showers we usually detangle in the shower with lots of conditioner or we usually braid her hair before bed every night but on occasion we forget and it is an absolute rats nest in the morning. The day I received this brush was one such morning, I tried it and within 5 strokes on the right side it was already mostly detangled and then I just kept brushing it and the boar bristles shined the hair right up.I couldn't wait to show my wife and she just gave our daughter a shower, she used the brush on her hair while it was wet and it worked well wet too. My wife asked me how expensive this brush was and she immediately guessed $30 and she laughed when I told her it was half that because she really likes it. My daughters hair can have a chance to grow even longer now because it won't be getting broken when we brush it. Thanks for this amazing brush!

Yikes, I'm not sure why all the positive feedback, I wish I had experienced that good stuff. I used it immediately and it made my hair look like I stuck my finger in a socket--complete static electricity. I ended up using the Conair Velvet Paddle brush that I purchased at the same time to get my hair back to normal. I figured it might work better once I washed my hair and it was wet, since I had bought it to use with a blow dryer in the first place. I don't know how this is possible, but it was worse. While I didn't have a problem detangling my hair with it, it wouldn't even reach to my scalp without me putting a lot of pressure on it (I have thick, but fine hair). I also looked like I had stuck my finger in a socket once again, even after drying it. I wouldn't recommend for thick hair and I certainly wouldn't recommend if you are looking to have a smooth look afterwards.
