Not my favorite Pomelo book
Pomelo books are well written and beautifully illustrated. There’s something existential in the text and drawings. This book was my fourth Pomelo book and my last favorite. It lacked a certain je me sais quoi that the other Pomelo books maintain.

Enjoyable for adults too!
My son adores this book and I love reading it to him! It’s our second Pomelo book and it brings us both joy. A beautiful story that even has me reflecting as an adult.

Absolutely love the entire series
Absolutely love the entire series. I can always get 5 and 7 year old loves to sit with me when I'm reading any of the Pomelo books. Beautiful words and pictures that never fail to bring a smile to our faces.

Pomelo and the creature become friends and enjoy doing everything together
Pomelo’s Big AdventureRamona BadescuIllustrated by: Benjamin Chaud Pomelo is small pink elephant that is ready to set out on a big adventure. Pomelo packs his bag and begins his journey. Along the way he faces harsh weather conditions, a greedy conman, and much more. During his journey, Pomelo has many feelings: he wants to give up and have a mama and papa, but he keeps pushing through and picks himself up. After the rough part of his journey Pomelo meets Papamelo, who helps guide Pomelo by building him a boat. Pomelo takes the boat and ends up on a shore where he encounters an odd creature. Pomelo and the creature become friends and enjoy doing everything together. Soon Pomelo and his new friend, Starfish realize that they are on a big adventure together. Chaud creates an imaginative world with his vividly wild illustrations. Scenes of frightening storms, beautiful oceans, and rocky landscapes are depicted in this epic tale. This book could be used in many ways in the Early Childhood curriculum. It will help learners see that sometimes they need to be mature and go on their own. This story also encourages readers to keep their heads up and never give up on a big adventure!BIBLIO: 2014, Enchanted Lion Books, Ages 4 to 8, $15.45.REVIEWER: Sophie GawrychFORMAT: Picture BookISBN: 978-59270-158-2
