Yes… this one!
Easy install on my 07 Nightster. Lots of videos on how to do it. Get the compression tool and it’s easy. This clutch did the following:-fixed my clutch drag… numerous attempts at meticulously adjusting the clutch to no avail pointed me to this being the reason-fixed my tough shifting that just started a few days ago… shiftings smooth as butter-fixed the rattling I’d hear under load when warm… old top plate broke and pieces were all over inside clanking around in there-increased the all around feel on my bike-made it cake to find neutral stopped-added more horsepower, (I swear)-gave me the opportunity to change the primary oil I’ve wanted to swap for a few weeks now … also clean/paint my primary coverThis one was a really good decision for me because it made the overall ride quality so much better. The clutch grabs tightly and increased my get up and go from stop!Mobil1 v twin 50w20

Barnett extra clutch
I had some slippage from the stock clutches so I decided to order these after reading the reviews. I installed them today and drove them 50 miles. Very tight clutches but overall good quality and will outlast the infamous "grenade" Harley called clutches.

BARNETT SAVED ME as my rivets were busted! 1996 harley Davidson Softail Custom
FIrst set of clutches I ever replaced on ANY motorycle OR harley for that matter. After I took the primary off and removed 3 steel and 4 friction plates I got to the rivet piece the packaging CLEARLY indicates to "DO NOT REUSE WITH INSTALL" and lord and behold the revits had falling out and it was blown apart. Worried as I've NEVER did an install I clearly researched some more and realized WITH THIS KIT I DIDN'T need the friggin thing anyhow! Barnett for the save!!Another Barnett save was when I original began removing my clutches I didn't get them all out, so I hope online and called their service line. A gear head guy speaking PERFECT english helped me to keep from messing up and only installing half my new clutches. Thanks to him I realized I only pulled half of them out and needed to pull the rest. With my install 1996 Custom Softail you need to BUY a primary gasket, new primary oil (1 quart for my model), and youtube how to compress the pressure plate with pvc pipe and a piece of scrap BEFORE install.WILL NEVER settle for anything other than Barnett as the clutches are as SMOOTH AS BRAND NEW!

Harley Davidson Sportster clutch rebuild - great clutch by Barnett
Clutch arrived on time and with no damage.Installation went great, the extra plate kit is just what I needed to replace the spring plate that is known to fail on Harleys in the 20k mile range (atleast for my sporty). The price of this clutch is way better than the stealer, I mean dealer price. The clutch engagement is very similar to stock, so I would not be too concerned about an overly grabby feel. I put amsoil 20w50 oil in my primary /trans (sportsters share oil between the primary and transmission). The clutch shifts smooth and locks up well even with the original diaphragm spring. Neutral is easier to find and there is less gear clunk when shifting. I installed this in a 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 roadster with 26k miles.I also made my own spring compression tool after I was quoted 175 for the tool (plus not in stock) and the HD dealer suggested this work would be too difficult for me. Sorry Harley, I am a mechanical engineer, I can do this work with no problem. I used a 3 inch pvc coupler, a 5/16 - 24 thread coupler, a 5/16 - 24 bolt and nut and a piece of angle iron. All for around 10 bucks at the local hardware store.

Good option for the price
Packing, fitting and functioning very well. I replaced the OEM with the grenade spring for this Barnett's extra plate clutch. all worked very nice for around 22,000Km (13,670 mi) & had to bought it again because my plates were already worn. Friends says that it has to do a lot of the way of driving (aggressive driving, drifting, burning rubber, etc.). OEM lasted around 48,000Km (29825 mi).

Great product from Barnett
I bought the extra plate kit by Barnett for my 20' Iron 1200 after doing plenty of research. It is superior in every way vs. the OEM clutch. It gets rid of the grenade plate and completely stopped any slippage that was caused by the OEM.It is a little pricey but worth every dollar!

So much better than the stock clutch on the Sportsters
This was my first time using the Barnett clutch that did away with the BS riveted plate. Finding neutral is so much easier. The friction zone is right on the money! Full 12 o'clock wheel stands are no problem. (Save it for private roads or race track). The bike I put this clutch on only has 3k miles on it. It was beginning to slip. Now, for the DIYer looking to do this, make sure the snap ring is completely seated or you will have an issue of it popping off and potentially damaging your clutch basket. I was fortunate enough that I caught it before my assistant rode off with it off. The new snap ring and seat are $26 at the HD stealership. Take your time and do it right and you'll have a clutch that grabs like no tomorrow and save some money and future headaches.
