A good album but due to packaging it and two of the other albums which arrived together were damaged - again thank you for that and also for not finding a way to report the damage - I guess the best way to go is just return it. Disc one of the Steve Miller Ultimate Hits does not play well perhaps the package was thrown around too much. Too bad this order did not fly like an eagle...

This was a repurchase for me. I had the original LP when it first came out 100 years ago. As a long time Steve Miller fan I found this album to be one his most unusual efforts. The title song is excellent, but the rest of the album is made up of songs that have a strong 80's tone, or as I would call it "fluffiness." I like the album and most of the songs, but what keeps me wondering (pun) is how much better it might have been if those fluff songs had been done with a Miller's blues abilities. Regardless, this is a worthwhile album and a must have in your Steve Miller collection.

We happened to be watching a DVD / movie & the song Abracadabra was playing in the background, the song was also featured in the movie Burt Wonderstone with Steve Carrell, and I said I want the CD with it. I have always loved / enjoyed the song, but had no idea or clue that it was put out by The Steve Miller Band. So, I ordered it to add to our CD / Music collection & not only have myself & my wife been enjoying but so have our 4 children.

I have been a Steve Miller fan for many years, but had never purchased this item. Glad I added it to my collection. Besides the title cut, "Never Say No", "Cool Magic", and "Keeps Me Wondering Why" are well made songs. Steve has done so much music in his life. His "Greatest Hits" is good, but make sure to purchase some of his works (Anthology, The Joker, Living In The 20th Century) to find some of The Steve Miller Band that radio might have missed.

Not enough catchy tunes.

Truly a classic album - if you love the Steve Miller Band and you like the title track, you can't go wrong with this one.

Had this on cassette and needed it on CD.

This album is as excellent as can be

Album orecchiabile, a partire dal simpatico brano omonimo (abracadabra), un po’ più pop e meno rock, rispetto al periodo dei ‘70 della band, ma comunque piacevole e non impegnativo.

Un vrai régal que d’écouter cet excellent groupe, j’avais depuis longtemps oublié ce cd, et je m’en sers comme sonnerie de téléphone

スティーヴ・ミラー・バンドといえば７０年代の「鷲の爪」「ジョーカー」などが一般的に代表作と言われている。もちろん否定はしませんが、８２年発表のこの「アブラカダブラ」もそれらにひけはとらない、と私は思ってます。８０年代的なポップなサウンドプロダクション（シンセバリバリ）のせいかロック・ファンからの受けはいまいちのようですが（前作「サークル・オブ・ラヴ」あたりから以前見られたちょっぴり泥臭い所が抜けてしまってる。それも魅力の１つだった）、いわゆる「スティーヴ・ミラー節」はここでも健在。「８０年代」的なサウンドに抵抗のない人ならおすすめできます。
