I almost didn't get this hat based on some of the reviews about the fit and the quality. I'm glad I took a gamble and purchased it anyway. I see no problems so far with the quality. It is, after all, a straw hat. If you want a hat that you can fold and put into luggage, then buy a hat designed for that. If you want a durable hat that will not lose it's shape, then buy a $200+ fur hat. Every type of hat has it's purpose and I find this hat to be more than adequate so far. It has a wire brim for shaping and it was boxed and packed very well so as to not get crushed during shipment as much as feasibly possible. The other complaint I read was that it was too small. I normally buy hats that are 7 3/8 and this hat is actually a little loose for me. I'll probably put a hat spacer in so that I don't loose it if a gust of wind comes along.I own a quite a few hats, including one custom made hat and a couple other higher-end hats, so I do consider myself to be somewhat knowledgeable as to quality or lack thereof.Overall, I think this is a great hat for what it is. Looks great, with little shaping right out of the box. If I find that it is not a good as my first impressions, I'll update this review, but so far I don't anticipate that happening.

Not what I expected. The size I ordered is actually TOO big for my 7 3/8 hat size. It also seemed to fit too far up on my head? Looks great but the adjustment rings that came with it are really cheap and jickey?? I ordered a different brand a week or so ago, did not even begin to fit. Gave it to my wife and it worked for her. I've bought several "fit's all" hats over the years and assumed these on Amazon would be the same...not even close and way too expensive for what we have bought so far. Disappointed and would NOT recommend...sorry, it is what it is! Oh, Texan here so I know a little about Cowboy hats!

What a beautiful hat! The fit was a bit tight( I wear a 7 3/4)...but after a quick soak in the lake, she fits like an extention of my head....forget it's there. She held tight on my head going in the wind, doing 30-40mph on the boat....she's totally customisable....just add water!I must admit...I gave the hat company a bunch of grief because I couldnt get it by Memorial Day lake trip, only to find out they already took that into consideration and had it to me by the Friday before...my apologies and thanks to them.BUY THIS HAT....if your Awesome and love America (though it is made in China...for shame, Peter Grimm) BUY THIS HAT!!!I did....and I couldn't be happier!

Great hat. I ordered two days before a cowboy-themed wedding in NY. It arrived the night before. Many people complimented the hat, asked where I got it from, and some even ordered it on Amazon during the wedding reception. It has a nice semi-distressed look. Very comfortable. And even made me look good (not an easy thing to do). My only problem was that it is made in China; didn't like that. But a great hat nonetheless. You'll be very happy with it.

This hat does run small and is a little flimsy. I would of expected it to be a bit more sturdy. Nice hat though but don’t see it lasting to long.

Fits an average sized mans head. Bought for a friends bachelor party and he loved it. He wore it tubing and after being soaked and thrown around it lost its shape but i think he will be able to reshape it. Decent quality for the price

This a one size fits all and they did a great job with it. The quality is superb and the colors are just right in my opinion allowing the hat to have style while not looking dull. You will stand out with this hat on but who would by this not expecting that? Good hat!

Hat arrived on time, but is too big, really hard/stiff and hard to shape. My last Grimm hat I thought was a bit to flimsy, but if I pay a little bit of attention, I can keep its form and not beat it up too bad. I would have preferred that to a hat that is more of a western hard hat....I have wanted this hat forever and assumed it would be comfortable, well fitting, like my others. Sort of disappointed.....(I'll add a photo later...)
