JMR Group Single Blank Premium Rectangular Mouse Pad - Black

I never thought I would get excited about a mouse pad but this one got me excited.For some reason good quality mouse pads are hard to come by. I remember when theywere free everywhere. Seems most of the ones sold today are super thin and won't stayput on the desk. Not this one. It is a full 1/4" (.250) thick. It does not move when it is flaton the desk. It is 9-1/4" x 7-3/4" in size. It has a very comfortable feel to it as well. I liketo operate my mouse on the top portion of it and rest my wrist on the lower portion of the pad.My wrist is very comfortable. I also like the black color. It won't show any stains as easily. I amgetting to ready to order a couple more. My only disappointment is that it costs $7. That is priceyfor a mouse pad that used to be giveaways or only a couple of bucks apiece. But since it is goodquality, I don't mind paying the price.

I just wanted to report that I received this product and measured its thickness myself. It is exactly 1/4 inch thick, as advertised. There's a negative review here about it not being 1/4 inch thick, and I think that reviewer must have received another product instead.Here are the full measurements. I took these myself: 7.75" W x 9.0625" H x 0.25" D. And there are curves instead of sharp corners, which you can see in the photos.This mouse pad is no frills. It's just plain black, and made out of rubber with a smooth cloth material glued to the top like many other mouse pads. That's fine with me. I actually prefer that. It matches perfectly with the desks I have, going along with a nice, clean, modern design style. It's fairly cheap, not the cheapest out there, but below $10. And it is about twice as thick as my other mouse pads, so it does feel like a premium quality product to me. You can't go wrong getting one of these.One other thing. As others have noted, don't get a mouse pad with one of those fancy hand rest things on the bottom. They market those as being better for ergonomics, but in my experience, they just get in the way of the mouse, and they do nothing to improve hand fatigue. So they're just an annoyance to me. You're better off getting a mouse pad like this product instead.Hope that helps!

I didn't quite believe the reviewers that said the pad is .25 inches thick. Ordered 3 anyway as maybe it'd be as advertised -and- yes it is! Yippee! I haven't seen mouse pad this thick for years ... and I'm wondering if I need to order a lifetime supply (they always quit making the good stuff).3 days later: the edges are so thick, I suspect they won't curl EVER. Still stunned at the thickness ....~2 months later: I can't even believe I used weeney paper-thin mouse pads for so long. I wish I could get this in a 12 x 24 size that covered a lot of my desk for my keyboard, mouse, & cat ;-)

This replaces a purple mousepad I have had for several years which has gotten stained and dirty. I don't remember where I bought it, and searched Amazon for something similar. The purple one was somewhat larger in size than this one, but with a similarly-textured top and a rubber-grip bottom.My verdict: I have to say that out-of-the-box I prefer this one. It's slightly thicker (certainly the thickest I've seen), and the size is actually more suitable to my needs. I do not know whether or not an optical mouse performs better on a black surface; I can't say I detect a difference. But this one provides a comfortable platform for a mouse, and is definitely worth the slightly higher cost.

I don't know why it's so hard to find this basic style of mouse pad these days. Dollar store quality just doesn't cut it. Too light and flimsy being just a piece of foam. And I don't want to spend $20 for one with a goofy design on it. This pad is "old school" in that it's thick and hefty yet flexible (not that flexible matters much in a mouse pad). The core has that recycled rubber look and the fabric top is just right. I'll be buying another one with my next $25+ order to get it shipped free.

Comfortable to set your hand on and large enough to be able to do so.

It's a pad that the mouse sits on! You can move the mouse on top of the pad! It's padded, and it works with a mouse!Ahem. It's fine. It stays firmly in place on the desk and the mouse glides smoothly across it. I use it for general computing and some gaming and I have no complaints. If it's a mouse pad you want, that's what this is.
