Glacier Bay National Park Paperback – July 31, 1987

If you are going to kayak Glacier Bay, especially for the first time, then this is part of your essential gear. I studied it before and referred to it throughout our 9 day trip in the east arm. I kept it available at all times, right along with my map. It is very helpful preparing you for the different areas to camp. as you can expect, though, it is out-of-date for the current status of the glaciers and topographical changes due to isotonic rebound. It would be awesome to have it reviewed and updated.

Great guide to prepare a first time exploration of Glacier Bay! Even if the glaciers modify over the years the guide gives you necessary knowledge to prepare an interesting trip. It would be great if the author will update this guide soon.

have to be much more adventuresome and be able to spend time in the backcountry to get the most from this book.
