The media could not be loaded.  Bought this based on other reviews. Was unsure as to the usability of the fan owing to the surrounding light fixture. More on that later.This was bought almost a year ago, and I've only just got around to writing my review. it arrived in an unmarked box after (I think) about 3 weeks. Wired it up that weekend as the heat was oppressive, and TBH I wasn't really expecting too much from this unit. It felt very light - as if it hadn't much real substance.Noticed there wasn't an earth lead on it, and the instructions were all in...oriental. But it's only a fan light. How hard can it be? Not hard at all as it turns out.This was easy to install,and the remote was easy to workout. The controls are simple enough. A central button and the two lower buttons for the light, to give you a variation on colour temperatures, and an outer circle on the remote for the fan to give variable speeds. The remote feels solid without a lot of weight - as if it could stand being dropped (although I haven't tried that). each command sent from the remote is accompanied by a corresponding beep from the unit that isn't too loud. It's just a discreet ''Ahem, sir''. Just a reassuring acknowledgement that all is well. There is also a wall mountable pouch to store the remote.The fan is housed within the confines of the outer lighting ring, and my initial though was that this would restrict the coverage. That is actually not the case. Coverage is great and the fan is quiet. The profile is unobtrusive and its looks fit in well with the modern home.If I was to point out a downside to this, it would be that the light likes to come on at full intensity before being adjusted to something less blinding. I did work out something the other day where it comes on at the previous setting at which it was turned off. But then I forgot it. But seriously? That's really only nit picking. This is a very user friendly item and seems to be made to be 'just so'. There's no extra material to it. Nothing wasted or added, and nothing lacking.Highly recommended. I'll be buying another one at some point to replace the rubbish B&Q one I have in my living room.Update: The second one arrived today (June 3rd). I wasn't expecting it until sometime in July, so extra bonus points for that. It's already up and running, and performing perfectly.As an added bonus: the fan it replaces could be heard from directly above in the bedroom, owing to the fact it is screwed to the joists between floors. It kept my missus awake and was unusable in the evening due to this problem. I'm happy to say this is much much quieter. The sound isn't eliminated completely; it can be. It's an electric motor screwed to a joist. There will always be some noise - it is quite a powerful little thing, but this is quieter by far than the three we've had in this room previously in terms of transmitting noise upstairs. In terms of noise within the room, it is slightly noisier, but really only because it is more powerful than your local DIY store units.

This arrived quite quickly, and the outside quality looks good, however. When i looked at the equipment and instructions there is no CE Mark anywhere (so should this be sold in the UK through AMAZON.CO.UK???). The cables for power do not conform to standard colours and everything is in chinese even the instructions and remote control.As i wanted this for fitting in my bedroom, i decided not to chance the equipment as i can not guarantee it is safe. so will be returning the product. (unless the manufacturer/AMAZON can provide CE Certificates and english instructions).26/07/19 update - the company were very good and offered multiple discounts, however due to it not having CE I still opted for return. I paid for return to a destination in France and the company reimbursed me to full item value with original postage costs and the return postage costs also. I would put the star rating up for the customer service, however for me an item with no CE or test certificates being sold in the EU is the deal breaker

This product was very good until the remote control stopped working 11 months after buying the fan,making it a waste of money because you cannot use the fan without the remote it is only used in the summer months so it has hardly been used
