Love this cord!
I work in construction, and saw one of these cords on a construction site. I was amazed at the simplicity of the locking mechanism and how well it worked. I immediately looked them up and eventually bought Three 50' 12AWG cords. If I need 100' or 150' of cord I just lock them all together - easier to store and wind/unwind than a 100' cord, and they hold tight! Not every plug works perfect with this, but 90% of mine do. Not much if any more expensive than comparable quality extension cords, so why not get one with a locking end! I show a lot of my coworkers the cords and they love them too.

Excellent, convenient locking scheme, but it does not work with all cords
This is an excellent cord locking scheme, but it does not work with all cords because it is depends on the holes in the "blades" of the male plug end being a certain distance out from the plastic molded part of the plug end. I have several older cords with male plug end blades that are just a little too short for the locking mechanism to engage the holes. The Prime cord locking scheme is not dependent on blade length, and it also cinches down on the blades too, making tighter electrical connection. Cerro's Stayplug does not do that, but can be engaged with only one hand. Prime's locking scheme effectively requires both hands to lock or unlock, making it a little less convenient than Cerro's Stayplug locking scheme. Prime's locking cord ends are also higher quality, with nickel-plated solid blades on the plug end.Still, the Cerro Stayplug cords are less expensive than Prime's locking cords, so these cords are certainly a good value when the price is right as they were over the holidays (50-ft. for twenty bucks)

Useful features make a better extension cord.
The power light and locking feature on the female end of this cord are extremely useful. I've used one for a while now, and I just ordered this one to have two. My favorite use is for my leaf blower. I could never keep an extension cord plugged in to the short lead on the blower. I have even tried tying the ends together. The plug lock feature on this cord has solved the problem. It plugs in easily and holds reliably. Then when you want to unplug, you just push a button.

My favorite extension cord I've owned
My favorite extension cord I've owned. I've only had it for a couple of months so I'm not sure about the durability, but it seems like it will last. I really like the way the female end locks onto the male end. It's very helpful for yard work. It also lights up on the female end when it's got power going to it. The price is good for a 14 gauge cord. So far I'm satisfied with the purchase.Edit: After about six months of using the two of these cords that I bought, one of them stopped working so well. I guess the wiring inside of it is messed up, because it tends to go in and out a little bit while using it if I'm moving it around a lot. It's still usable if it's going to be stationary, but for yard work it's not much use anymore. I've always been careful to not twist it up when storing it, and I didn't abuse it at all. Maybe it's just this one cord that's faulty, as the other is still working fine. But, one out of two isn't very good.

I really like the locking ends - no more finding out someone ...
I have been using this at the race track for about a year now for tire warmers on my motorcycle. I really like the locking ends - no more finding out someone stepped on the cord and pulled it from the outlet, and your tires are cold come race time! The jacket is very light and flexible, akin to a 14 gauge cord, in fact I forgot it wasn't 14 gauge. It's holding up well through some rain and plenty of being drug, stepped on, and rolled over. I'd buy another.

i was not perfectly happy
first, the locking female end only holds on to some male plugs. Unfortunately, not the one i bought it for. ok it's not a big deal. then the first time i plugged my shop vac into the extenstion cord, the motor made an inconsistent noise. in other words, the rpm of the motor would go faster then a little slower, etc, like it was a little starved for electricity. do i like the cord? not really.

Great deal on heavy cords
Lays out nicely in warm weather. I haven't used in winter yet. Appears well made and tough with nicely molded ends. Fantastic price for this heavier gauge cord to run power tools safely and efficiently. I can find no weak points so far with these cords. I use them for circular saws, table saws and various power equipment.
