The Family Treasure Nature Encylopedias series is wonderful, charming, and beautiful! My children and I love these books. A Butterfly is patient is a gorgeous book! Perfect for butterfly lovers! Wonderful for learning butterfly facts, The illustrations are quite beautiful. This book is chock full for great information for learning. The way this series is written makes it easy for younger and older children to enjoy. The way the words just whimsically dance across the page is beautiful. A great asset to your home library or homeschool library.

As a homeschooling mother I’ve been delighted with this series and this butterfly book. Even I learned several new things about butterflies! Detailed illustrations bring this charming book to life while the descriptions and facts are presented in a simple, easily understood way.

This is such a beautiful book. Each page has a sentence at the top written in cursive. Then the page is wonderfully illustrated with hand drawn then water colored, illustrations of caterpillars, butterflies, leaves, and so on. Each butterfly or caterpillar has the name on the top of it or underneath. The names are written in cursive. The pages have wonderful information about the butterflies. You could read this to little ones as a picture book just reading the sentence. Or you could do an entire science lessons with this book. That makes it great for ages 4-10. I also had my 12 year old use it as a beginners field guide to butterflies. Overall, I love this book.

Beautifully written - I've given this as a gift to children of all ages. We recently gave it again to my youngest niece for her 3rd birthday along with a butterfly pavilion. The artwork is stunning, beautiful, vibrant and detailed. The words and definitions are clear and leave room for discussion and reduction of ideas for younger listeners while the artwork captivates their attention and wonder to hear and retain those ideas. Such a beautiful book with wonderful illustrations! It is very well made and has a lot of good information. My kids love reading it. The first page is filled with caterpillars and the last page has pictures of their matching butterflies - I liked that detail. Itcomplimented our spring/animal life cycle school curriculum. It was also larger than I imagined. I posted the book next to a 4x6 picture.

Beautiful illustrations and a great series for children's book enthusiasts of all ages!

This book is educational, not a story. It introduces the life cycle of a butterfly and includes a few interesting facts. The illustrations are pretty. I purchased for my 4yo who loves butterflies and is currently learning about them in her preschool program. We'll reference it when she sees a caterpillar or butterfly outside and wants to know more about what she's seeing. In those instances, she enjoys it, but it's not a book she ever requests before bed just for fun. If you're looking for nature books for your homeschool library or to satisfy the curiosity of a kid who loves bugs and butterflies, it's a great option.

This is a beautiful book with lifelike illustrations of actual butterflies. Highly recommend. Excellent condition, like new. Hardback.

Love this book! The illustrations are beautiful, the content is rich and language used in the book is fantastic. It can be used by and read to kids of multiple ages.

Gorgeous illustrations. An unusual text but the kind of book to curl up with, with a child and explore the different concepts on each page.

Súper, súper, suuuuuuper bonito!! El cuento destaca por las increíbles ilustraciones que tiene, de diferentes tipos de mariposa y de las orugas, con sus respectivos nombres! Buscábamos un libro sobre mariposas para el proyecto del colegio que no fuera el típico de la orina glotona, y este ha triunfado!! Es una lástima que no esté en castellano, pero merece totalmente la pena!
