Fit my LG WM3570HWA
Worked to fix my LG WM3570HWA, which wasn't draining. Because I wasn't sure if the pump was the actual problem, I also removed the drain hose and washed it out, as an almost solid gel-like sludge had accumulated over the years. Getting all of the sludge out of the hose wasn't easy, and I doubt I could've gotten it out without completely removing the hose. Trying to push the sludge through the clogged hose is probably what killed the pump, if the pump actually failed (the hose might've prevented a still -working pump from getting the water out). So, I would encourage cleaning it when you replace the pump. Since I was already in there, I also proactively replaced the circulation pump (located on the opposite side of the pump housing) while I was at it. Washer runs great now.

Askoll OEM supplier pump
The original pump has Askoll on it and so does this replacement. Askoll is the OEM supplier of this part. This pump is just like other small submersible aquarium or fountain pumps with a magnetically driven impeller. It does not have bearings. You can pull the impeller out of the housing. My old pump might have worked with just cleaning out the gunk inside like is needed with aquarium pumps but, for the cost of this new pump I did not want to do the work to find out. I hate amazon for how they treat sellers but they did get this to me in 12 hours so I got the washer going again,

Easy fix for an aging washer...
Had an "OE" error code on my 14 year old LG front load washing machine. After a bit of research I found that this was the likely culprit preventing the tub from draining. The was a very easy fix so don't hesitate to change this out on your own (there are plenty of how-to videos online). The price was right and I was very happy to avoid a service call, or worse, having to buy a new machine. Hopefully, this new pump will last another 14 years!

Not an easy repair, but definitely better than buying a new washing machine
Replacing the drain pump motor in my lg front load washer is no small task, but it is way better than spending $1000 on a new machine. Having the right tools makes this easier (I recommend the spring tool for the gasket, metric ratchet set, and a magnetic tip screwdriver will save you a lot of trouble.) there are you tube videos that walk you through the steps.Definitely go for the OEM. I’ve done this repair twice now because the first drain pump motor (generic) only lasted 18 months) and you definitely don’t want to do this repair on a regular basis. It’s quite and undertaking and will use up a good chunk of a day, but you can prolong the life of your washing machine and keep it out of a landfill which is great for the earth and your bank account.

Sounds just like a genuine LG pump and comes in LG box. BUY SPRING EXPANDERS!
3/4/2024: It's too early to know if this pump was worth the extra $20 over other brands. Time will tell. If it has any problems, I'll update this. But for now, nothing to complain about. It takes 7-10 years to know if it is a good pump. If it doesn't last at least 7 years, then I would say it's not a good pump. If it lasts 10-12 years, I would say it's a great pump.It comes in a genuine LG box for about $45, which I assume it is exactly what LG puts in their machines. I had no problems installing it. It's hard to think of anyways it could have been easier or harder to install. It definitely sounds just like a new machine again! I figured since I am saving a bunch of $ by doing the lob myself for the 1st time on any machine, it might be worth the extra $20 to guarantee it fits and sounds like I expect it to sound. However, maybe I should have tried a highly rated 3rd party pump since it is probably the #1 problem most people have to fix on LG machines. The previous one lasted about 6 years, which isn't very long. However, I have a high-end washer/dryer combo machine (Model# WM3997HWA) that eats up drain pumps when using the dry cycle a lot. The original pump already sounded suspect when I bought it after being used a lot to dry after 2 years. The original pump lasted another 4 years with almost NO use of the dryer function. I do not plan to use the dryer function more than about 1/mo in the future because I have a good dryer. If you're doing the job yourself, use the "top-down" approach and DON'T try to do it using the access hole in the bottom of the machine like many "pros" are showing on Youtube these days. You can’t see what you are doing and there are bolts, screws, several water tubes, and wires you can’t see or access from underneath. The “top down” approach looks like it is much harder, but it is actually faster than you would think, and faster than doing it from the bottom unless you do it all the time. And you don’t need another person to help move this extremely heavy machine using the top-down method. I did the entire job myself and was able to do almost all of it with tools from Dollar Tree using the top-down approach. If you want to save yourself a WORLD OF PAIN, spend $14 on Amazon to get a pair of “spring expanders” for an LG front loader (see pics). The spring that holds the rubber drum boot to the front of the machine is extremely difficult to get off and almost impossible to get back on without spring expanders. With them, what would take 10 minutes and lots of frustration just to get off, takes about 30 seconds with spring expanders. And it only takes about 60 seconds, instead of hours, to get it back on with spring expanders. If you get those, you can replace the pump in a day. Also, don't forget there is a good probability you will have to get that rubber boot off and on more than once if it turns out you have a leak, the power isn't working properly, or many other reasons you can't think of. Since it is by far the hardest part of the job without spring expanders, you want to make it the easiest part for $14.

Askoll product (not LG)
There is no indication that this is an LG product--no logo on the box, etc. The box assures that it is "Genuine OEM" and the manufacturer is Askoll. The box also appeared to have been opened and there were some indications that the motor might not be entirely new (returned?). At any rate, I installed it to replace my broken pump, and it is working. Hope it lasts! But I feel like I should be refunded the $3 higher price I paid for the so-called LG OEM over the Askoll listed product.

Part works
Part fits and works great. Fixed our washer! And speedy delivery from Amazon. Cumbersome to take the machine part but saved a lot of $!

Fit and worked perfectly.
Worked as expected and fit perfectly. Arrived quickly and was a good match to the OEM. The repair is easy enough to do but the part was in a difficult location.
