*****5++ ‘Faith & Forgiveness’ STARS*****
‘Earth is forgiveness school.’ It’s a quote that’s stuck with me for years. Forgiveness is homework that we all have – we’re all students here, some working towards the Honor Roll and others flunking without a care in the world. If ever there was a straight ‘A’ student and teacher combined I’d say KC Lynn fashioned her perfectly. Crafted with a deft and caring hand this journey will eviscerate and make you question good versus evil, dark versus light. This is definitely a tissues needed read; however, in the end, the bruises and suffering will be worth it, your heart mended – glowing in the light of a perfect love between a man and his woman, reborn from anger, hate and guilt.“It’s not that I don’t believe you, it’s that I’m wondering when you’re going to wake up and realize that I’m not worthy of it.”Beautiful, innocent, caring, stubborn, a bit naive. Those things describe Faith Williams. A church trip would test the very foundations of her Christian upbringing and gentle heart in the most horrific of ways, but there’s more to this small town girl and she’ll never let evil prevail or darkness dim the light in her heart. Moving forward with life and her other heart and soul, music, Faith’s stunned when a chance encounter brings her face-to-face with the man she never forgot – the man that pulled her out of hell. Now if she could just convince the man who owns her heart that she’s healed and ready for their future – together.“You’re not broken. You’re perfect.”Cade Walker’s world consists of a steady diet of anger, regret and guilt. Grief stricken over the death of his little sister, Cade has walked in the shadows of blame and remorse for years. When he meets Faith he’s overwhelmed by her beauty and innocence at the same time infuriated by her devotion to a God he doesn’t believe exists. In a moment of horrifying consequences their lives are brutally connected and in the fallout Cade has another reason to hate God and pile on more guilt and blame. While Cade is content to live life day to day with his closely harbored anger his heart tells him it’s not enough. But his head, well now, his head tells him if only he could convince the woman who owns his soul that he’ll never be worthy – after all he believes he put her through hell.“But if I did believe in angels, I’d swear this chick was one.”The overarching theme for both Cade and Faith is forgiveness and moving forward in their lives – accepting love and happiness – understanding that their tragic past does not define them. Cade hides his grief under a cloak of iciness and seemingly uncaring distain, while Faith is quite open to her pain and regret. They both carry guilt for their roles in each other’s lives, but its Faith, with her earnest desire to live life to its fullest that inspires Cade to learn to forgive and move past his anger. Despite the difficult subject matter, the care taken to develop this storyline is evident in every page. Of note, the sexual intimacy is represented so realistically and I appreciate the process Cade and Faith go through to achieve a healthy sex life. The tactful pacing and delivery of intimate moments between them were believable and considerate of Faith’s past.“This is one of those beautiful things I was telling you about that life has to offer us. Don’t fight it Cade, for once just let yourself feel.”There’s a beauty in forgiveness. In accepting the painful, in this case excruciating moments, acknowledging their existence and not giving them power over your life. It’s a liberating feeling Ms. Lynn develops with seeming ease. This story touched my heart in so many ways. I cheered with Faith when she had little (and big) victories, raged with Cade as he struggled to come to terms with what his life is and what it could be, had the warm-fuzzies when Christopher and Ruthie found a home – a real home, and sobbed when I seemed as though the darkness would win and Cade and Faith would lose. Throughout their heartbreaking and hopeful journey, both learning to accept love and forgiveness, I hoped and yearned for their victory. And it was stunningly beautiful; worth every tear and bruise to my heart.“You’re not broken. You’re perfect.”I must admit that when I began the MOH series, Ms. Lynn had me leery of Cade and Faith’s story. Each book in the series lightly touches on it and I was honestly heartbroken and devastated. I wasn’t sure I want to know the details of their journey – that is would be too difficult to handle. How very foolish of me. I loved every tearful and joyful moment of this novel watching these two reach for and receive their happily ever after. The brutal and heartbreaking journey made the victory all the more sweet. 5+ Stars are not enough, unreservedly recommended.“He is my dark angel and the man I love with my whole heart.”K’s Category: Serial Dater – I’ve read every novel/novella released to date.TRIGGER WARNING: Human Trafficking and RapeCharacters: M/FSex: Yes, descriptiveOW/OM: NoHEA: YesStandalone: Although this is the third book in the series (I believe you should read books one and two for a fuller experience) I do believe you could read this as a standalone – but why would you, they are all wonderful. 4.5 EPIC “BIG GUY” STARS!
No one writes PRIMAL ALPHA PROTECTORS like K.C. Lynn, and in my opinion, her talent for penning angsty romantic suspense tales teeming with pulse-pounding drama, breathtaking passion and blistering emotion is unparalleled! I have truly loved every book in the Men of Honor box set thus far, but RESISTING TEMPTATION, the third installment in this heart-gripping series, was so achingly beautiful and gutwrenching, it RAVISHED MY HEART AND SOUL!Cade Walker’s life has been marked with unspeakable tragedy and soul-crushing despair, and as a consequence, he is sullen and broody, scarred on the inside and out, with nothing to live for. He is the walking wounded until the jaded Navy Seal meets Faith Williams, a beautiful red haired preacher’s daughter with the voice of an angel who slowly resuscitates his deadened heart! I was riveted by their tumultuous backstory, which is told via flashback and chronicles how they first met during his military mission in Iraq and unflinchingly depicts the brutal chain of events involving Faith's terrifying abduction and subsequent rescue that FOREVER altered both their lives! At its core, this is a story of hope and healing, and the way that young Christopher and his little sister Ruthie came into Cade and Faith’s lives and ultimately became their family was one of my favorite parts of the book. These two displaced children were a huge catalyst in bringing these two torn apart lovers back together. In many ways, Christopher's broken home life parallels Cade’s, and I was deeply moved by how he ultimately became a role model to the troubled teen. But it was "Big Guy's" gruffly tender bond with little Ruthie, who totally IDOLIZED Cade, that totally wrecked me! Ruthie STOLE EVERY SCENE, and was a total heart melter. God how I adored that the sweet, bubbly little girl with the cute lisp and OMG the beanie she wore to match Cade’s was beyond precious! In powerful and profound ways, these four broken souls became a lifeline to each other and helped one another become whole.As for the central love story, Faith and Cade just TOOK MY BREATH AWAY! Their second chance romance was heartbreaking and heartfelt, brimming with such soul deep emotion and sizzling passion that I felt the entire world fall away as I devoured each and every torturous, exquisitely beautiful moment between these two! Cade is the ULTIMATE Man of Honor who will literally move heaven and earth to protect his woman and his newfound family. And even though he is bitter and emotionally closed off, and has lost his way, as the story progresses, he slowly but surely begins to see the goodness in the world through his beloved “Red’s” eyes.I loved Faith's gentle, forgiving heart and unfaltering belief in Cade, in the lord--and in humanity-- even after all she's been through. And despite her deeply embedded wounds and aura of fragility, she proved to have quite a backbone of steel! She loves Cade, her hero, her savior, her protector with every beat of her heart and though it takes the broody loner a while to admit it, he cherishes her right back with a ferocity that left me in a STARRY-EYED STUPOR. My HEART SHATTERED for all they went through, but then of course my SOUL REJOICED when the beleaguered duo finally triumphs against all odds!And as with the other books in the series, once again Cade's band of brothers, Jaxson and Sawyer and Cooper, and their gorgeous, fun-loving women, infused the story with warmth and charm and oodles of comic relief. I relish how this close knit group of friends always has each other’s backs through thick and thin, and I am so invested in all of these characters they almost feel like a part of my own family!Ultimately, RESISTING TEMPTATION was utterly irresistible! It was an intensely romantic, thrillingly suspenseful, and spirit-rejuvenating story that had me spellbound from start to finish...and the HEA ending had me WEEPING TEARS TOYS OF JOY! Each book in the series is better than the last and I cannot wait to dive into Kayla and Cooper’s novella next!

Another heart wrenching beautiful story
KC Lynn has the ability to stun me and make me feel every single emotion with each book she writes.This story just gets better with every book added and i am so glad i get the chance to fall in love over and over again with each of these characters.Faith and Cade's story was a whole different kind of beautiful. I won't go into the storyline because i feel this is a book you need to go into blind. You need to experience it not knowing a thing, let your walls down and just let yourself feel. Experience the heartbreak, the soul destroying moments that two people have to overcome. The love between the characters that is so damn strong your heart will feel fit to burst.KC Lynn's ability to take my breath and captivate me every single time is awe inspiring, she has a way of breaking my heart yet making it feel so whole all at the same time. Her books just sing to you, they're the kind of stories that will stick with you. One's you can re-read and you'll still feel everything and fall in love every single time.She creates the most beautifully broken men and matches them with women so fierce that only they can love them hard enough. Characters that are perfect together and love each other so hard. Oh man!Cade and Faith's story is hard to read at some moments, but if you battle through the hard times the outcome will be so worth it. The beauty that lies at the end of this rollercoaster is worth every single bit of heartbreak and i'm so glad i got to experience it.I'm really looking forward to more from KC Lynn but for now my heart needs a break HA

Thank goodness Cade found Faith..!! 5*
Another brilliant instalment in this series and one that defiantly pulled at your heartstrings, I knew it was going to be a tough read but I still wasn't fully prepared for what lay ahead.Resisting Temptation is is pretty brutal from the beginning, Cade's trying his upmost to keep his sister Mia safe while having to endure a not so pleasant home life, you start to feel the shear desperation and panic building as soon as Cade realises where Mia has gone and with only a few pages in we get our first of many shocking scenes and from that dreadful moment Cade's journey begins.We are already aware of the loyalty and most of the history between Jaxson, Sawyer and Cade but this is Cade's journey and how whist the three of them are out on a mission in Iraq he discovers Faith.Cade's incredibly guarded and we've always known he's been the quiet one, keeping himself to himself but something happens when he starts to talk and get to know Faith, the chemistry between them is obvious almost immediately.Faith is such a beautiful person inside and out and there are some very endearing moments, her friendship with Aadil being one of them but things take a dreadful turn for the worst.Fast forward 2yrs, Cade and Faith have not seen each other at all much to Faith's disappointment but their paths are about to collide for the second time and once again you become totally consumed with this brilliant story.There are a lot of shocking and desperate situations throughout and none of it gets any easier as we find out later with Christopher and Ruthie but Faith steps in.Faith's character is portrayed so well it comes across incredibly natural and she never once gives up on those she loves it really is beautiful to witness.I have been in a perpetual state of sadness and anxiety whist reading this whole series so much has happened but out of everything bad that happens something good happens, it took Cade a long time to realise and accept that, I have to say it was a beautiful ending to what was a very traumatic start.Thank you for giving us all these wonderful characters and now I'm going to read Final Temptation..!!

Great emotional story
This is an emotion packed story from the get go. Gripping. Loads of action. At times gory. But I loved it even though I cried a lot. It is beautiful, gut wrenching. My throat tightened and hurt when reading this. Not for the weak hearted. It's very hot with loads of swearing. What an amazing story. It's third in series and I think they need to be read before reading this as some things are referred to here and not fully explained because they occurred in previous books e.g. Anna. Note, I had read other books last year and I didn't remember them. They were then explained more in authors note at end. I bought this book 12.12.14 from Amazon uk and I seem to have overlooked it in my library. I must have thought I'd already read it. I think I will shortly reread the 3 books to refresh my brain. And to torture myself with emotion.(Couple of issues, ruthies poor speech for 6yr old aggravated me, where was her speech therapy? I have never heard any child misprouncing c as t. It's also not cute. Even at 8 her speech is poor. Unrealistic. Also, author very religious & occasionally religion was intrusive. There is loads of religion and at times it bordered on preachy.)Besides these issues, and some typos, it is a great emotional story.

Men of Honor
A heart breaking and gut wrenching read that resonated deep in my soul causing an outpour of tears but also filled me with great happiness. Resisting Temptation gives us closure on what went down in Afghanistan to Jaxon, Cade and Sawyer. The pages were difficult to read as the extent of pain inflicted on them as they were captured was revealed, but seeing the men’s bond and strength in surviving to gain freedom to save Faith made it easier to keep reading and made me love the guy’s even more for their heroic actions.Walking away with scars Cade and Faith were unable to save each other both battling with their own demons despite the love they shared. When Cade and Faith meet again two years later they are both shocked and forced to confront the past. Cade resists Faith all the way refusing to open his heart to her, his tortured soul pushes her away despite how his heart beats when she’s near. Faith’s presence in Cade’s life clashes with his own lack of faith in god and the church after losing his little sister. My heart broke for Cade he was such an amazing, caring, passionate and honourable man that deserved love. This story was etched deep in personal loss and suffering but the love, passion, kinship and heart melting scenes that flowed throughout the read lifted the darkness and pain these two fractured souls endured to see a beautiful hea.I loved Ruthie she made me laugh as she stole the show with her relationship with Cade, seeing his walls come crashing down as he enveloped her in his love which mirrored what he felt for his lost sister was so touching, as it ultimately led him to his own happiness with Faith and soothed his soul.

Truly beautiful
I knew from having read the first two books in this series that Cade and Faith's story would, at times, be a tough read. In book one we're given a glimpse into what happens to them both in Iraq, and in this book we get the full story of how it has effected them both when they meet again 2 years later. It's not a pretty story but it touched me deeply. I fell in love instantly with these damaged souls and the struggle they go through to finally be at peace. I'm not ashamed to say I either bawled or had tears in my eyes throughout this book, even the good parts, and that was because the bad parts were so horrific that it made the tender, sweet moments all the more poignant and touching. I have never wanted a HAE more than i did for these two characters. Faith's love and pureness shines through the whole story, never more so than when she opens her home and heart to two more lost souls, who in turn help her to complete her own healing process. Cade takes a little longer than Faith because he has felt broken from a very young age, and the only love he has ever know was from the one person he lost, which he has never gotten over because he refused to face it and deal with it. This book touched me like no other, there are some truly beautiful scenes between Cade, Faith, Ruthie and Christopher that made my heart ache and I was still weeping at the end. This story is one of hope, healing, redemption and love and so cleverly written that if you're not moved by it then you must be dead!
