Foscam R2M 1080p Indoor PT Security Camera, Dual-Band WiFi, Human Detection, Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, SD Card Slot - Works with Alexa & Google

I have had a number of Foscam Cameras in the past and all have worked well, used one when my son was a baby, much better than those expensive and not very good baby cams.Since then re-used it as a general video camera for the house, it works well but the app is not as slick as you would like nowadays and not integrated to Alexa.So along comes the new R2M camera, which as usual from Foscam is well priced for what it is. So I was looking to setup a few more cameras inside my house for security. I just got the camera from Amazon and had it up and running in 5 minutes, which is a good rule for good stuff, it is can be made to work from opening in 5 minutes then it's a good product from a setup point of view.There are lots of improvements here from previous cameras, the Foscam app is now very good, using QR codes was able to add and setup the camera in the app and add it to my existing camera. It's not setup on wifi and ready to use, it also comes with a handy stand to attach it to a wall - so you can use it in multiple locations which is great. It's early days having just got it but I expect as usual with Foscam this will be a robust and long lasting product.Compared to other very expensive cameras on the market this is a great deal, has all the features you existing, e.g. night working, motion and audio detection plus now a cloud based recording service - so you have piece of mind that someone is watching your house for you i.e. your Foscam R2M.Recommended if you are looking for a good hi-def camera which is simple to setup and use with a nice app which allows full control from your phone without needing to spend alot of time setting it up it's all in the app.

I had been looking for a camera to replace some old foscam Pan and Tilt F series cameras that were not compatible with the mobile app. When R2M came along, and it was reasonably priced, decided to give it a try. I have had it up and running for a couple of weeks now.What I like about this camera -- It is compact. Looks neat. Smaller than the previous Foscam pan and tilt- Was very easy to set up straight out of the box. Took ten minutes to get it up and running using only the mobile app. No laptop needed.- Comes with fittings to wall mount- Image quality is very good - Supports motion detection and alerts- compatible with app, easy to get the camera view on the app and move it aroundWhat could have been better -- I find it difficult to control the pan and tilt of the camera from the phone. It scrolls based on finger movement across the screen so depending on the connection can go too fast or too slow. not based on how many times I have tapped the arrow.- The fittings on the older F series camera were sturdier and had a longer mounting arm. This one has a slightly shorter arm which for me means a slightly restricted view due to where I needed to place the camera. ( door / window frames can get in the way when trying to place it in a corner to cover a larger area.Overall I like the camera and may purchase another one in the future.

Very easy to setup, no cables needed unlike previous cheaper cameras. No more connecting to the router with Cat6 and fiddling about, just scan and go. The picture quality is excellent! Great colours and sharp image. The only downside I've found so far are as follows..The side to side movement is soooooo slooooow, quite frustrating really. This may be able to be changed in a setting but none that I can see from within the app, as I can't get into the Web browser on my laptop. This could be improved with a simple setting in the app that allows the camera to move faster as in previous foscam ip cameras you could do this. Also the motion detection is too sensitive. I have it set on lower than low and still I get notifications of movement for example if the sun goes in and a shade develops I get notification after notification in the end I had to turn off motion detection. The Foscam app is temperamental so I use a 3rd party app that I have another 4 camera connected to, works perfect. This camera is constantly recording to my NAS hidden away in my house so motion detection isn't really a problem but it should work correctly.All in all a good camera with sharp quality image but could be improved in certain places like the motion detection, browser access, side to side movement.

- Web interface only works with its own proprietary plugin.- On Mac it did not accept Firefox but SafariI do not like with such sensitive item (camera in my home from a Chinese manufacturer, immediately calling home after plugging in. I covered its lens, but it also started to scan right away), own special software makes it difficult monitoring what it does and where to send data.Also:- It has it's own special 5V adapter (why not USB then?!) that takes up 2 plugs in my extender as its cable is coming out from the top opposed to every other plugs (from the bottom). The adapter is also big, compared to the needs.- It annoys me talking to me after I turned it on. ('Ready for Wifi configuration')

Nie jestem zadowolony, kamera po wymianie i problem braku PTZ w lewo nadal występuje. Po resecie do ustawień fabrycznych na jakiś czas PTZ w lewo wraca.

Cela fonctionne bien avec Synology mais quelques faiblesse sur l'adaptation au changement de lumière / vision nocturne HS, nécessite reboot - pour précision, le firmware est à jour

Kamera erhalten und hat alles gleich geklappt. Ferbindung Internet alle Einstellungen. Würde ich gerne wieder kaufen.
