NEOCUTIS Journée Bio-restorative Day Cream Broad-spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen, 1 Fl Oz

I recently ordered this bottle. When it arrived I found out I had to battle with the pump for a few days to make it work. Nothing would come out. I returned the bottle and ordered a new one. One day into using it, the same problem began to happen. The pump stopped working. I went 2 days without using this cream. Pretty frustrating as I have been a Neocutis user for over 3 years now and I've never had this issue before. When the bottle actually started to work, I noticed something else. The formula seemed to be different from the ones I've used before. One of the reasons I was sold on the Journee cream is in spite of having SPF content in its formula, the cream was not heavy, instead quite light weight and didn't leave a "tint" on the skin like other SPF creams typically do. However this formula feels heavy weight and leaving behind almost a cakey "tint" on my skin. It doesn't seem to be settling well on my skin at all. The texture is suspicious. I called Neocutis and explained to them my concerns. They said Amazon is not an authorized seller and they have received similar concerns in the past. This is not an expensive cream to begin with. I'd rather pay full price and get the real deal instead of a discounted price and get an item I'm not happy with. So be cautious with this cream! I'm returning it as we speak. Once I receive my cream from an authorized dealer, I'll do my comparison and then really know if I made the right decision.

Been using this for years. My dermatologist recommended it and I have to say, hands down, this is the best standalone moisturizer I have ever used! It definitely lightens, brightens and freshens up the appearance of my skin and I often get glowing compliments when I wear it (which, unfortunately, isn't everyday). It is special and it is expensive. So, I use it judiciously and alternate it with other products. For me, it is best worn alone without foundation or much powder, though on hot days I will use a light dusting of translucent powder to set it. When paired with eye cream, brow pencil, mascara, a stroke of blush (sometimes) and a dab of lip tint, I can be out the door in 5 about minutes. I love that my skin looks and feels nourished and appears fresh all day!Now, for the downside, I agree with most of the Journee reviews on Amazon. Believe it or not, the new packaging has improved slightly. When it first hit the market, the lids popped off. Now they secure well enough for travel, but they are much bigger than they need to be. So I too, wish they would reduce the footprint.Some reviewers say they only use a half a pump. I'd love to get away with that! For me to get the coverage necessary, it takes about 2 full pumps (from the 'new' blue bottle). I can get away with 1, but 2 is my preference because the product does not spread in a friendly manner. When I try to rub it in or spread it out, it appears dirty on the face. From my experience, the formula has always been this way and it is my biggest complaint. I do not like to fuss with or worry about my face or neck appearing dirty. So I use a little more and rub a little less. I am always (casually) looking for a better product. Until I find one that out performs this, I'll keep using Journee!

The problem with Neocutis packaging is amply documented in customer reviews for the best products. You can't see what is left and if you pull the pump apart, you will find more product that you can use (but is not available via pump). The other issue I discovered is that even when I (religiously) replace the cap, 2 days later, I lose some product due to hardening in pump's pour mechanism. In both of these issues, small amounts are involved but this is not a cheap product.Personally, being advised to reapply after 2 hours concerns me for its longevity in protecting the skin. I have protected my skin for my life, have very little photo-damage. But unless I am exercising, I really don't want to re-app every 2 hours!Having said all this, I am a true believer in the PSP formulations of Neocutis and their products are very helpful to the aging process.

Works well and feels light as a feather. Best product of its kind. Good to use when going outside after dermatology treatments. I wish it came in a variety of shades.I've used this product for several years. This time my nearly out of date bottle's pump would not work, so I ordered another for a Florida vacation. As it turned out, the new Journee bottle's pump would not work either. While on vacation, I mistakenly thought I'd brought the old bottle instead of the new one & threw it away. I would love to be able to return it, because it's pricey even with the sale discount, but I am in NYC & the Journee is in a waste basket in Orlando. I regret the loss of money and the missed opportunity for NeoCutis to examine the defective bottles.

I'm in the habit of buying product before I run out, this bottle I ordered three months ago, just today opened the package and am completely unable to pump anything out of the bottle. The pumps are defective apparently, I note that many others have had the same problem, and there is no recourse with either Amazon or the seller, SkinSolutions. Looks like I'll have to try smashing the bottle with a hammer to get at this very expensive day cream. It's a good product however, if you do purchase, make sure you test out the pumping mechanism as soon as you receive it so that it can be returned according to the 30 day Amazon policy. Very dissatisfied.

I have been using Neocutis Journee for several years and haven't found another product as effective. Many people comment on the quality of my skin and I believe this product has kept me relatively freckle-free with minimal wrinkling.....we do all get older so I do have a few minor lines, but enjoy growing older gracefully with a little help in a bottle. The new packaging was a surprise, but my guess is that it protects the contents from light exposure. Looking at the contents under the bottom allows me to see how much is left. I will buy again
