Perfect combination for paddle boarding and exercising
This is a combo review for the "LETSCOM Bluetooth Headphones IPX7 Waterproof, Wireless Sport Earphones Bluetooth 4.1, HiFi Bass Stereo Sweat..." and "AGPTEK MP3 Player with Bluetooth 4.0, 8GB Lossless Music Player Support FM Radio Video Playing Voice Recor..." I bought these for my wife who likes to paddle board and listen to music while exercising. Her phone and bluetooth earbuds are not water safe and too expensive to risk losing or dropping. We wanted a compact music player and water resistant headphones that wouldn't be lost forever if she punches herself in her face or falls in the lake. I read a bunch of Verified Purchase reviews before ordering. Conclusion: This is a perfect combination for active use and water protection when you keep the player in a waterproof bag. The sound quality, ease of use, volume, controls, and flexible storage far exceeded my expectations for a $60 setup. Details below, but I don't see how you'd go wrong with this setup.Remember, about 5-10% of electronics are defective or fail (see Clark Howard). It seems most people were happy with these products unles you got a lemon. That's why we order from Amazon Prime and their great support/returns.First the Agptek bluetooth player:This is my second Agptek music player, and I'm just as happy as with the first. My original 8gb corded player is light, compact, and will play for 2 days straight before needing a charge. That being said, it also dies in two days when not playing and you forget to power off. I've used my player for 2 years now without any problems, and decided to stick with a brand that I knew would work.First, I'll get the bad out of the way. The instructions are basically non-existant. You'll have to guess your way through the menus, but I had no trouble moving around using the buttons and labels. The menus are easy enough to follow, so don't expect an Apple-like experience. #RantOverThis device is super light and about the size of 10 stacked busines cards. It's idea for travel, exercise, or water activites in a waterproof case. This player is NOT WATER RESISTANT! Do not get it wet. Keep it in a real waterproof container when near water, not a plastic lock bag. It's very easy to use. I loaded music directly to my device, but decided to load my wife's music to an extra 64 gb micro card since she has far more music in rotation. Simply copy all the files and directories to the card, insert the card into the player, then look confused why there are only 4 sample songs in the library, but over 2,200 songs on the card. From the library you have to open the Device Card, then select add to playlist. It doesn't actually add to a playlist, but will read the card and add everything to your music library. It took about 2 minutes to read all here songs which then appeared under the library, artists, adn albums. We used MP3 files only since other formats are too problematic.Since finding all the music was harder than I expected, I was expecting bluetooth to be impossible. I was wrong agin. It was the easiest bluetooth connection I've ever done. I scrolled over to bluetooth, turned it on, and searched for devices while the headset was in pairing mode. It found a Fire TV remote first, but popped up as UPI about 30 seconds later. I selected pair, and gosh darn if it worked the first time. Note: When you power off either the player, you must turn bluetooth back on before it will reconnect to the headset. Again, no instructions, but easy enough to figure out.Playing music: It's very easy to play by artist, album, or just play everything. Since that's all she wants to do, select shuffle and play as long as you want. You technically could make playlists, but this is going to really stink. You have to go to the music and add it to a playlist. For our $20 and $40 players, I'll just shuffle the music and use a phone if I want a playlist. Seriously, it's not worth messing with. If you are a playlist junkie, put each playlist on a seperate micro sd card and swap them out.LETSCOM Bluetooth Headphones:They are IPX7, so should be fine if accidently submerged in water. We've tried the $50+ headphones designed for swimming (different brand), and they always leaked and failed within several hours. This set is designed for accidental water and sweat, and we have no intention of submerging them for extended periods of time. The bluetooth was critical so that she can use the super cheap Agptek player in a waterproof bag clipped to her paddle board or sitting in her workout room. I selected this headset because of the cord between the headphones and ear clips. This way, if she catches her ear or hits herself in the face (notice a trend here?), one ear will save the other from dropping into the water. I'm sure the fish will be sad they can't enjoy music until the power dies, but I'll be a lot happier. These paired perfectly, and the instructions were actually helpful. They came with a hard, round case that was almost big enough for the headset, cord, replacement buds, and Agptek palyer. Fortunately I'm a super nerd, and had a spare rectangular case that did fit everything. The case was actually very nice adn unexpected. Some people complain that these were too big or not comfortable. I didn't notice any problem, and there are 3 other sets of adapters to fit better into your ear canal. They aren't as small or light as a hearing aid, but were not noticable once they were in for a couple minutes. For active use, I believe the cord and ear clip are needed.Using both together:If people are complaining about sound levels on either one of these, you either need a hearing check or something is wrong with your setup. There is a safety volume setting to control maximum volume on the palyer, but our came set at full volume. The sound quality was excellent for the price, and I could only get to 75% volume before it was too loud for me. I won't say these are designed for audiophiles, but the sound is exceptional for the pair's intended use. Do we really need concert hall quality when out on a lake or getting crushed by Cathe Fredrick?! Controlling the sound from the player or headset was very easy. On the headset, a long press skips forward and back, so remember that when changing volume. That's how I discovered the headphones will let you skip any horrible songs you loaded by mistake or remind you of a darker time. The outer button on the right ear turns the headset on and off.Good luck, and I hope you enjoy this setup as much as she does.

Doesn't charge with any portable or phone chargers
I had written a review that says it doesn't charge- I found out that's not true. It only charges when I plug it into my laptop for some reason, and is completely incompatible with all other portable and USB chargers, which is BS as I had an AGPTEK before that was compatible with every portable charger and phone charger. Why this one is such garbage, I don't know, but i will keep it as a back-up due to its charging problems, when at first I was so mad I just wanted to return it- but for $15 or whatever it isn't even worth the time.I ordered a better one that works with everything from Valoin that works WAY better and is compatible with everything. Don't buy this stupid AGPTEK productI am changing it from 1 star to 2, since at least it charges with a laptop I guess. Still worthless garbage though

Bought June 2nd 2020, battery already essentially shot
The battery performance has gotten drastically worse very fast. While I like the size, shape, controls of the player in less than 2.5 months of use the battery life after a full charge is about an hour. This is really bad for this type of device. Very disappointed. I do use this a lot. Perhaps I just got a bad battery, but it would be tough to recommend this. I am sure I will have to look into either replacing the battery (certainly not designed to be replaced), but will probably just have to replace this.

After repeated attempts to replace my favorite RUIZU player
This little unit works amazingly. I love it. I have tried 3 so-called "RUIZU replacement mp3 players" for my initial RUIZU player ( purchased back 2017) where none of the replacement came close to the original. This unit step in and I am now pleased, yes it's small but the operation of the item is great. I hope they don't try to change this one.

Not that durable
A good product but broke very easy just being in my pocket while working.

This MP3 player worked very well for 3 1/2 weeks, then it died
I bought this MP3 player because it offered Bluetooth capability and touted the ability to take micro sd cards up to 128 GB. It worked very well for 3 1/2 weeks. It did indeed read my 128 GB micro sd cards well. It had a good menu system that was relatively easy to navigate. It read a wide variety of audio formats. The lack of a clip or a lanyard loop was a drawback. After 3 1/2 week of use the player stopped working. Attempts to recharge it were unsuccessful. I returned to Amazon for a refund.
