Can't retract the blade which is fine but there's no cover for the blade when not in use. Accident waiting to happen.

I inadvertently ordered this tool in error.Amazon will now not allow my return.The blade on this cutter is VERY sharp.The blade DOES NOT retract.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TOOL unless you are not concerned about safety!

Be wary of this product. It does not, I repeat does not, have a retracting blade. It is a fixed blade knife. There's very limited use for a product like this. I have the same model and that's why I expected it to be retractable that is retractable I've had it for about 4 years under heavy use and it's been the best utility knife I've ever had. This one quite frankly is a waste of money.

I have owned and use Stanley knives for many years and have always found them to be good. This model seems to hold the blade at a better angle for general cutting and the FatNax blades have proven to be sharper in us, so far.

Every toolkit needs one of these, or two! It comes with a few blades too. Recommend this as a good version of this classic blade

Wonderful. Superb quality. Good design. Not quite sure why the blade tightening mechanism is needed but you can leave it on if you like it.

just what you would expect from stanly, feels good in the hand, sterdy build and a good couler so i know when i have left it somewhere.
