Great tool for the Farm
I purchased this tool for use on my farm and so far it has worked as advertised. There are always rusted nuts and bolts on older equipment I am trying to repair. In the past the only way to get the really stubborn ones off was to heat them with an acetylene torch. Using a torch anywhere on my Combine or where there was a buildup of dust or grease (which is everywhere on farm equipment) made me nervous. With the Mini-Ductor II there is no flame so I don't worry about seeing my equipment and barn go up in a big fire ball. The Mini-Ductor II appears to be well made and well engineered, as apposed to the first version of the Inductor which looks like it was built in someone's garage from stuff that was lying around. I imagine it works as well as the version II that I purchased but can't verify this.So far I've used this to remove a dozen gage wheels on my corn planter so that I could replace the support arms and I was successful on nine of them. This is about the same success rate I would experience using a torch. To remove the wheel shafts from the control arms I had to heat the end of the arms until they were not quite red hot. These arms are thick and about a foot long so the conduct a lot of heat away from the point you're heating. As the duty cycle on this tool in 2 minutes on and 2 minutes off I had to heat it twice to get the end hot enough to separate the shaft from the arm. This was about the same time it takes with a torch.I admit that this item is not cheap, but it works and the reduced risk of starting a fire is well worth it. No flame, no sparks, no melting things two inches away from where you're working. If you're a farmer you need one of these in your shop

Time Saver!
I bought this because I was changing out the exhaust manifolds on a 1997 RV with a Chevy BB 454 engine with blown gaskets. It was from Indiana and the rust was horrible. This induction heater is worked wonders. Beats a torch any day for 98% of any heating of nuts or bolts. Two seconds on a 9/16's nut and it is smoking hot...literally...15 seconds it's glowing molten orange. Quench it or let it cool down until grey and a 3/8th's ratchet or hand held impact wrench will turn it right out. Works on 110v/10 amps. Careful if using a generator or inverter to power it. Pricey, but when you look at a welding set-up, the ease of use, no flame, only heats ferrous metal (use it around glass, rubber, etc.) and the versatility of things you can heat with the different elements (bearings, bosses, tie rods, etc.)...you'll ask yourself how you ever managed without it.

Operated per product design
Product worked as stated. Additional engineering work needed to make this a viable going forward tool for application.

The most amazing tool you don't have yet
I found out about the induction heater from a shop foreman, who told me what a lifesaver it was. But since I work on my cars as a hobby and not professionally, I didn't know if I could justify the cost. Thankfully I took the plunge, because this thing is a lifesaver. It is fantastic for loosening frozen and corroded bolts. It's much easier to use than a torch, safer in many places, and much much faster. It only takes 3-4 seconds to heat a bolt up to the point where it comes out easily. The first time I used it was after I had already snapping a bolt. After heating it up with the induction heater, I was able to back it out of the threaded insert that it was frozen into like it was brand new hardware. Since then I heat up anything I'm taking out for the first time to be safe. If you've been considering it, don't put it off any longer!

This thing is hot!
The media could not be loaded. This induction heater is amazing! Had to replace a fuel tank and the TSB speaks of how rusty bolts need heat but no flame. This saved my bottom a few times already. I love it. It's a bit expensive but pays for itself very quick. With time savings and re-use of normally tossed consumeables it works great. I love it.youtu.be/YUMt9ZqZn18 is a video if it in use.

Does not work to great
I have used one of these tools before. It worked great. Heated the bolt up quick. This one....... not so much. Takes almost 5 minutes to get any heat on the bolt. Not sure if the tool is broken or the company doesn't produce a powerful enough product. But the shipping was fast

Rust belt mecha
I had to stop immediately what I was doing to write this review. I'm a self taught jeep mechanic that recently had to change the rack and pinionon my ram truck. I had bought this with the anticipation of another job but not wanting to burn down my garage I had to free a bolt under the frame next to the oil pan. Living in NH I know rust and rot all to well. I tried every trick in the book but nothing worked, I knew I needed heat so I reached for this. 30 seconds of heat time and one turn of the wrench and it was off. Amazing product.

Good
I initially purchased the Bolt Buster from Amazon Warehouse Deals (used) & it was dead on arrival. It did not work so I can’t comment on it’s function. I sent it back & bought this instead. What I can say is that the Mini-Ductor seems to be better quality, hence the higher price? It has a light & internal cooling fan whereas the other did not. When I tried it, it took a little longer than expected to get red hot, but it worked. Wish they included more wires in this set, so only 4 stars.
