Easy Ear WireXTL-6067 Tool for Making Earring Hooks

I love using this product for making my own earwires. I can make ones in all different colored wire to go with whatever earrings I am making. This product is so easy to use it is almost magic! If you want to make your own simple earwires, this is the product for you. I highly recommend it!

Works great! I was able to get a good result on my second try. It’s a sturdy little contraption for its purpose.

I make a lot of jewelry and wished to make custom wires as I go. (Also invested in punches to make display cards on demand…)This seems strange and sort of lacking, but. I often build my own jigs, so this investment is significant. So. Instructions came with it, and I also found a how to use video and watched it a few times, then followed along. It took several passes for me to get consistent results and become comfortable in using the jig. (I am a ‘put a frame on it perfectionist’). I am satisfied that I made a good investment.I suggest you also buy a cup burr set and a good pin vise or hand drill, and a pair of parallel nylon jawed pliers to round your wire ends.The eye loop is formed with some gap, it doesn’t completely close or touch. You will have to manipulate it to close that gap. Be so warned.As I said it takes a little practice to produce a consistent product, but will give a satisfactory, good looking earring.

Easy enough for my 12 year old to make all her own earrings. Love how it has the measuring part before you shape it. Makes it easy to get the right length each time. Hardest part for her is filing the cut wire but the cutting and shaping with this is so easy for her.

First of all if you ordered this, don't bother to open the box just toss it in the garbage, it does not work, I watched the video several times before buying it, then tried over 20 times to get it right, and nothing work's, the whole is either too big or too little no matter where you place the wire. a waste of time and wire, cheaper to but them made.

If you actually read and follow the directions, you will get what you are looking for: a simple French/fish hook. You must remember, however, to file down the part of the earring finding that goes into the ear, since that most likely will be rough with just the wire cut. Use a burr file tool.

Saves time and wire. You end up with consistant sizes. Great tool! A must have if you are selling your pieces.

This is a very cool design, however, what I don't like is the size of the loop. It's too big. The loop should be smaller or they should include 3 different size metal pegs so it can be adjusted.
