Short Lifespan!
When it arrived I thought it appeared to be exactly what I was looking for, i.e. something large enough to toast Paninis, Baguettes, and anything larger than the usual slice of toast.I used it just four times. On the fourth time the rear, left lid hinge broke.I had a panini on the toaster and was closing the lid when it snapped. I don't believe I was pressing the lid too hard, just trying to place it over the whole of the panini - after all the supposed flexibility of the lid movement was one of it's main selling points! Now all I have is a decent sized, easy to clean, toaster plate, with a wobbly lid - but using it is a pain!I could continue to use it, but there is a distinct possibility that the instability of the broken hinge would, quite quickly, exert sufficient pressure on the right side hinge to also cause it to break. My one recommendation is:That you make all areas which experience the greatest levels of movement and pressure from the strongest material (i.e. metal). If both the connecting bracket the hinge had been made of metal, this problem would never have occurred. As it stands, I have a broken Sandwich Toaster - which I can't even return as it's now past the return date. It now sits under my kitchen cabinet and. sadly, it will end up at the recycling tip with the rest of the Christmas debris.I had searched all over for a suitable toaster and was delighted when I thought I'd found the ideal item. Unfortunately I was let down very quickly - by a simple design flaw.

Nice little sandwich toaster
Neat and compact for storage, does do two sandwiches easily but only one panini at a time which is a shameOver all quite happy with it just wish it could fit two paniniβs together.

Smaller than imagined- difficult to separate plates as nothing to grip

At last. A decent panini grill /press
Having tried two other types of panini press! I'm very happy with this one.The first one was large, but stopped working after a week, and was returned. The next was the folding George Foreman one. That was well made, but I found it too small and it was burning the toasties, whilst the insides were still cool.I needed a large one with an adjustable thermostat. This one makes the best toasties I've ever had. That is just using normal white bread, cheese and chillies. It does the panini bread absolutely spot on.I have cooked pork chops on it.They would have been done before the patatos! So I turned the heat down.Lovely job.Easy to clean.I usually give the hot plates a wipe with a damp cloth.Only drawback is the ridiculously short lead.As with all these types of items!Keep the original packaging (everything). For 12 months. They can fail, or you may not like it and want to return it.But I'm very happy with this one.

Great for the price and use in my garage
No temperature control what you expect for the price? Easy to clean and use, I do recommend to go for 1000w unit unless you want to wait by it for half hour or you not bother how long it takes to fully finish a panini, but then you can get a more expensive one with 1000w or less and will be the same. Did spot one thing people are doing wrongly, they press the lid on the panini or sandwich has hard as they can and lock the locking clip for storage then complaint they got a pancake instead a panini πIt is built with very flimsy plastics and metals so be gentle and will last( press the lid gradually every few seconds instead in one brute force expecting to be ready in 5seconds.If does me for 6 months 10 people using it 5 days a week in my garage work place Iβm happy
