Wasnt sure i needed but better safe than sorry

Great product and a must have to truly secure the gate opener from someone being able to remove it by pulling the pin (at the post mount) that comes with it then simply pushing the gate open. I also put a regular lock on the gate mount with the same kind of pin that could also be removed. Fits perfect and can easly be removed to change settings inside the gate opener if needed.

These are an awesome addition to our Mighty Mule gate opener definitely a good peace of mind that nobody can just pull the Carter pen out and take the pins out to open the gate. Definitely a must have if you have the gate opener. Awesome price and come with 3 keys.

Security

Had to machine a better pin latch that fits into the lock. Simple if you have a lathe. The stock pin is to small a diameter and too long to securely handle the continous duty of the pulling and pushing to open and close the gate.

Need two of these for the gate arm to help secure it from easy theft. The 3/8" pins fit snuggly without too much chatter during powered operation of the arm. The online price is half the cost of retail price.Kind of a needed investment for remote installation of gate.

Locks work exactly as advertised and work well in my Mighty Mule gate opener. Security and pece of mind to make sure the opener is not stolen or gate easy to be opened by removing the pin.

Works as described. It fits the Might Mule gate we have to keep anyone from being able to remove the strut and open the gate. It actually takes 2, one on each end of the strut. There is not much too it. You may be able to use a trailer tongue lock and get the same effect.

Bought 4 looks for my mighty mule gates, price to expensive. Fund same at Lock Smith stores half price?
