Vicks Waterless Menthol Vaporizer for Adults, 5 Pads

I like that there is no steam to burn yourself on and that it doesn't make noises like the ones that take water do. It works well, the vapors fill one whole room 12x12 ish. I use the vaposteam liquid to moisten the pads and it does great. Wish I had bought this sooner!

First of all this is the size od the palm of your hand. You put these little menthol strips in it and plug it in and it's supposed to provide these awesome vapors the help with your congestion. The cord is very short and you are instructed you cannot plug it into an extension cord. You have to plug straight into an outlet. This would not be problematic if it weren't for the fact that the thing barely works so I was hoping having it very close to my son's crib it would help better, but I can't because there are no outlets right nearby and I didn't want to place it on the carpet. I have this vaporizer in my bedroom becasue that's where he is staying now. I can smell it very nearby for maybe 10 minutes. But it's just slight Vicks odor. My point is it's worthless and has done nothing for us. I wish I never bought it.

Smaller snd less space it holds 2 pads. I only use one. It will really open the sinuses with 2 pads.It does not have an on off switchYou have to unplug it every time you’re done with it.

This did absolutely nothing for me. Maybe my sinus issues are too severe. I slept with this right beside me on my nightstand for 3 weeks and nothing. While I do like the convenience of the pads and their smell, the scent fades WAY too quickly. So, it will be pricey to keep them in on hand when using this every single night. I did try putting a few drops of essential oil on a used pad each night, which last longer, but since it's not really recommended, I don't feel safe doing that long-term. So now, this is probably going in the trash.

This is big! This is the model that sits on a table, not the one that plugs directly into the wall outlet. I just got it in the mail today and I am surprised at how big it is. It is 5 inches by 5 inches, easily. It comes with these little medicated pads that feel dry but that give off this very strong scent if you turn the machine on high. I did, and I had to turn it down, because I found the smell too overpowering. I tested it this way because several people said they had a hard time smelling the scent. They must have had a bad cold at the time because I had no problem at all.Also, even though they tell you not to, you can use the pads that come with it again and again instead of buying expensive replacement pads, just refresh them with a few drops of essential oil. I bought a bottle of pure menthol and eucalyptus essential oil blend (with nothing else added)for this reason. And because I do not care very much for the smell of the pads that came with the machine (it is a slightly different blend), I put a couple of drops of the menthol eucalyptus blend right on the pad that is in the machine now.It is strong enough that I can smell it even in the next room.As you can use any essential oils you want for different scents, in these machines, I also bought some empty pads from the vapor-eze website, as it is cheaper than anyplace else I have seen. These too can be used again and again. This way I can switch pads and switch scents (the smell of the oil stays in the pads so you should only use a pad for one oil or oil blend). You are not supposed to touch any essential oils but you only dab a few drops on a pad and you never touch the oil at all, so it is no problem.This is a nice, cheap, aromatherapy machine. You do not have to use the pads that come with it and you do not have to buy expensive replacement pads. I am only sorry I did not buy it sooner as I have been struggling with walking pneumonia for nearly a month and am almost over it now. The machine could have helped a lot. By me, it is not sold in any brick and mortar store, so I finally took a chance and bought it sight unseen online. I am glad I did.

Oh, I really like this product, no mess with water, it can also be used as a nite light(with menthol scent). Idid purchase extra pads, but if u wanted, use what they give you, then instead of buying new pads, buy the vicks liquid & soak it, dry out & reuse! I recently had a sinus infection & put next to my bed & it really helped my stuffy nose--easy to open & put new pads in. Should have had this kind of product years ago!
