Krishnamurti to Himself:His Last Journal
I had never read Krishnamurti in the past, and I think he's the most relevant speaker-author I've ever read! I first read "The Awakening of Intelligence" which introduced me to his thoughts. Then I read "Krishnamurti's Journal" and "Krishnamurti to Himself: His Last Journal" which showed me the humanity of the man and his love for nature. All his works are different from anything I've read about meditation and the fact that we have created our own problems by inventing the self. It's a must read for those who would change the world.

K showing his humanity
K, like the Dalai Lama insisted that he was human like each of us and as such the same. This personal journal gives us a glimpse of that humanity. Of course I would have liked something more personal, like a journal on his relationship with Rosalind and financial issues with his business partner. On the other hand these disclosures, if they exist, would be like similar problems we all have in our relationships and reveal little if anything.

His last word.
Krishnamurti spoke to audiences all around the world. Although most of what he has spoken about has been written down and published into many books, this book has a significance because he was gone from us not too long after. Spoken into a recording device, at his retreat home in Ojai, California, he shares reflections on all things timeless...meaningful in its simple approach. It is one of those books that you will want to carry around with you to read from in quiet moments, highly recommended.

Best taken in small doses for the following reasons
Best taken in small doses for the following reasons.1. Krishnamurdi expresses throughout his writings one central theme, the window dressing ( often quite picturesque) is the variation on the theme. 2. His ideas are radical and profound and take some considerable getting used to

take a walk with Krishnamurti
Ojai ramblings going back through the life themes that have always been his force. The best aspect is bringing these ideas into life's space - with observations of daily life, natural cycles and vistas in Ojai and Southern California

Know Krishnamurti
This last book of Krishnamurti somehow filled me with sadness. This man traveled all over the world making conferences about his super interesting philosophy of "living into the present" which changed my life so very much. Everyone should read one of his book at least. The reason why this last one made me kind of sad, I somehow felt his sadness through his last words as if he gave up on changing the world for a much better place. I felt him lonesome as he gave up on human king. No, I am certain that many of us, his followers, have had a so much a better life because of his philosophy. I am so thankful to this great great man. A great book to read
The way K talked in front of a large audience and in front of close friends always differed. And the way he wrote in his journal also differed from the main books. The message was somewhat the same, but the way to approach the topic was "refreshing". Until his last energy, he was a man who endeavored to change the world by pointing a sort of direction to others. Awareness, awareness, awareness. Of course, constant awareness is easier said than done to noisy minds. A great book to read, one journal entry each day at a time, without expecting anything, just reading.
