This Universal HVAC Surge Protective Device seems to be of high quality due to the material used and the look. It was extremely easy to install and securely tight in place not letting a drop of water to enter. I feel a lot more secured knowing that my AC unit is well protected.

Exactly what I was looking for. Reasonable price and easy to install. However, if you don’t know what you’re doing, call a professional. I have seen a lot of people double lugging the wires. This is a huge fire hazard. You have to pigtail to the line connections with quality wire nuts. If you don’t know what any of that means, call a professional. Other than running to the store to get larger wire nuts, this install took approximately 30 from start to finish.

I put this on my hvac system box. Very easy to hook up yourself! Only 2 wires, just unscrew the terminals and attach the wires exactly like the instructions.The build quality is sturdy and tough. It looks pretty well built and my hvac guys that come out even recommend them as well.The price is worth it, I think, if it saves me thousand compared to what I paid for it then it is worth it. Sure, home insurance may protect the investment, but everyone knows how insurance companies can be. Think of this as a back up to the insurance if you get screwed.It fit very easy! AG 3000 surge protector arrived quickly and appears of good quality I purchased this particular surge protector because of many good reviews some of which were on a split system similar to mine. Relatively easy to install if you are comfortable doing electrical work. Unit best protects for voltage surges vs under voltage. So far it appears to be working well, wont really know till I get a power surge.
