This is a wonderful, soft, yet solid eyeliner. As you age you skin loses elasticity, putting on eyeliner can leave skips in the liner. This product doesn't. It goes on well, and doesn't wear or "humidity" off. Lasted all day in 90+ degrees, no smudges, and the best part, washes off. Smokey eyes are made simple with the soft tip smudge tool. Includes both the soft tip and a sharpener. I am not sure if the sharpener will be needed if you turn the pencil as you use. Possibly no waste. The liner is not embedded in wood, it is a plastic cover and it turns to add more. That is why I believe that the liner can be kept as a soft line w/o using the sharpener. Very happy with it so far!

Applies so easy, love the formula, love the brightening affect, it is an awesome black that is not harsh yet not too light & not like a carbon grey, it's still black but more natural. I have somewhat oily eyelids so u do have to wear some eyeshadow so it won't transfer up onto my very hooded lids. I love the effect it gives & how it subtly softens as the day goes on but not in a wearing off kind of way. I can keep the line more crisp or blur it out with the soft silicon smudger. I usually blur it out & then apply over that another line that I do not blur. Does not hurt or irritate my eyes, I have sensitive eyes with issues so that's saying a lot! Under the smudger there is a sharpener- works great! Overall i love this eyeliner. Also HIGHLY recommend the shade spiced chocolate, looks so good with cosmic black on upper lid & spiced chocolate on lower smudged out.

I recently switched to this eyeliner after dealing with several bouts of blepharitis. I originally thought that my mascara was causing the issue, but after trying several hypoallergenic mascara brands without resolve, I decided to try changing up my eyeliner and the blepharitis finally cleared up. I had previously been using L'Oreal's Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner for probably close to 10 years (it's my absolute favorite eyeliner) and was devastated to have to switch brands. I wear eyeliner everyday and wanted a hypoallergenic alternative that was affordable, could be purchased at the drugstore, and was comparable to my beloved L'Oreal liner. After researching various drugstore brands, the only two options I could really find were this Neutrogena liner and Physician's Formula Eye Definer Automatic Eye Pencil. I tried both brands, and neither of them caused any irritation. However, the Physician's Formula liner wears off very quickly (within about 2-3hrs), which left me with this Neutrogena liner as my best option. This one stays on relatively well compared to my old L'Oreal liner, and I typically don't notice any fading/wearing off until the end of the day (6-8+hrs after application). While this Neutrogena eyeliner isn't an exact alternative to my favorite L'Oreal liner, it is certainly a close second and does not bother or irritate my eyes whatsoever (which is what was most important for me). I will say that the Neutrogena liner does apply just as easily and smoothly as the L'Oreal liner, and it also has a nice, solid color when applied (I could never really get the Physician's Formula eyeliner to have a bold black color - it always looked more like a dark grey). If you are looking for a great hypoallergenic, non-irritating eyeliner, I would highly recommend trying this Neutrogena product.

This eyeliner goes on fairly smoothly without undo tugging. It also has a smudger at one end that I use to soften the line ever so lightly and blend in any little mistakes. The color Chocolate Spice is described as enhancing the whiteness of the eyes and I do believe it does. There's just something about this brown liner that makes my eyes look brighter and better. Subtle but definitely there. Very nice eyeliner. I will be repurchasing here on Amazon. For some reason, Target will not deliver this color to my address in California!

I am SO happy with this product. I have purchased many over the course of the last 4 years. I got an allergic reaction to most eyeliner I was using/trying, but I've always trusted Neutrogena for hypoallergenic needs. This eyeliner didn't disappoint. It screws up for easy application. No sharpening required. It applies smooth as well as light or heavy, depending on your preference.

Not wild about the quality of the liner. It tends to smudge and rub off way to easily. It only takes about 2 hours to give you raccoon eyes and that's without any sweat or tears or anything like that. The tools that comes with the liner are really great. The smudging tool is wonderful and is shaped for precision so you can create a great look quickly and simply. Also, the sharpener is wonderful. I love to use the automatic liner pens because they are so convenient but you can't use a regular sharpener with it. This sharpener allows you to shape the liner to create fine lines. Bottom line: I will probably purchase another liner but will keep this for the tools. Pros: great sharpener and smudging tool Cons: liner smudges too easily, tends to run and flake off after a few hours of use

Bought black and blue colour. Loved the colours - deep & rich; smooth texture which does does not dry out, smudge free. Price is very reasonable too.

I’ve not been able to wear kohlor liner for a while as most give me itchy eyes. This one is fine however. Hope they keep making it.
