Lederhosen Leather Shorts Oktoberfest Trachten Bavarian Dark Brown

I'm 5'9 190lbs, wear a 35" waist in most pants and the size 52 fits me just fine. I noticed someone else mentioned the straps were too long and others say they were too short. If they're too short, don't cross them in the back. If they're too long, cross them in the back. It's that simple.Bought this for my upcoming trip to Munich for Oktoberfest. This lederhosen is a Monet. From afar it looks great. The leather is heavy and seems to be crafted well. But when you get up close there are some minor detail issues. The stitching on the leather suspender-like straps isn't identical. They're similar, but not the same, and if I suffered from OCD this would drive me nuts. The buckles on the suspenders aren't very high quality, either. Hopefully they hold up (no pun intended) while I'm drinking liters of beer in Germany in about a month.This lederhosen is made of heavy quality leather. The lining on the inside is NOT high quality. It seems like they cheaped out on the lining in order to cut costs. The lining in the legs detached from the leather after trying them on once as I pulled my leg out. They still work fine, but I was a little disappointed that happened at all. The lining of the pockets are made out of the same cheap material. I'll be storing my valuables elsewhere in Munich.I'm still happy with the purchase, though, with all things considered. It'll make for some great pictures that's for sure. For the price I don't think I could have done much better

Ordered these for my husband. He is normally size 32 waist (48 German according to the size chart), but I bought a size bigger (German size 50) based on the other reviews. The size 50 is a little tight in the butt and thighs (he has a pretty athletic build), and a little loose around the waist, but overall I think this was the right size to order for him. The suspenders that came with the pants were a bit short, but we can make them work (definitely won't be crossing them in the back) - just enough leather to go straight down the back. The top (long) straps did not have any holes cut for the belt buckle (front/chest) or slits for the buttons to connect them to the back of the pants, so we had to cut these ourselves. Also one strap was about an inch longer than the other. For the money I paid, I would have at least expected the straps to be of equal length. But overall the quality of the material, etc. was good and consistent with our expectations. As a sIde note, the design stitched into the pants and chest strap were not the same as pictured on the listing, but is similar and my husband was fine with the difference.

It's hard to review the size because we did order it large with the expectation that it would be tight. My husband is a size 40 in regular pants and we ordered a size 60 in these. He is 6'8" and the chest strap hits more mid-abdomen than mid-chest like it should, but I think it would fit most men just fine. Like others said, the button holes are a little tight but nothing too concerning. The stitching looks nice and the leather is thick and heavy. We purchased these for our first trip to Munich's Oktoberfest and are now even more excited about our trip! We would've liked to purchase more authentic lederhosen from Germany, but these are great cost-effective alternative for those who can't afford to drop 500 euro on those.

The size I got was "58", which according to the size chart on the same page should fita 41 to 43 inch waist. I wear 38" waist jeans and shorts, so I was surprised that theselederhosen were just snug enough that I wished I'd gotten the next bigger size. For therecord, I'm 6'2" and 240 lbs. If you're about the same size, I'd recommend getting bigger.Perhaps these will stretch with use, but with only a couple uses per year, it may takea while. I think lederhosen in general, don't really like their wearers to squat or pick uppennies. This may explain why, at Oktoberfests, I see so many men with greatly over-sized hosen.

These were surprisingly nice quality given the price! They were a big hit at the Oktoberfest party.One word of caution is that I found multiple, conflicting size conversion charts from the European sizes that you are forced to choose from when ordering and US sizes. The black version of this product actually includes a sizing chart if you scroll down on its product page. The other colors do not include the chart. Your size chart stated size 50 is 33-35 and i found that still to be too tight. The cut in the thighs is tapered and requires a thin frame to make the size work, in my humble opinion. I am not fat, and I exercise and have healthy thighs for a 59 year old, so it was really tight across my hips, and still slightly too small at the waist too. I am returning it and going for a 52 or 54 to make up for the hips and if its a little loose in the waist, that is not a issue, since the suspenders will do its job and the leather will not be so tight to tuck shirt in, etc.

Ordered these for my husband and an upcoming Oktoberfest celebration. Both he and I were amazed at the quality and craftsmanship of the lederhosen. They are leather with embroidery and look every bit as if they came directly from Germany, though since they didn't we did not have to wait more than two days for them to ship to the house. I ordered a size larger than my husbands regular pant size just to be safe and they are a bit bigger than expected, so I would have been fine going with his exact 38. I am extremely happy with this product and would recommend anyone purchase before spending three or four times the money on something else.
