Excellent sun protection I can wear in hot weather without overheating, but chafes
When I run in hot, dry climates, I want a shirt that protects me from the sun but doesn’t make me overheat. So far this is the only one I’ve found that delivers and I can actually wear it through a workout. It’s a blessing if you burn easily. There are lots of thoughtful features: sticky shoulder pads to help a hydration pack stay put, thumb holes so you can get protective material over the backs of your hands; sleeve holes so you can see a gps or smart watch, and a clip for a hydration hose (which I haven’t tested). It’s athletic clothing, not fashion clothing. It’s somewhat translucent (especially when sweat soaked) but I’m hard-presses to imagine the person who buys desert marathon gear and is self conscious about looking sweaty. I mean - if that describes you, I’m not sure any thin white garment is going to work for you...It is vulnerable to Velcro. If you have Velcro on your other gear (hat, visor) you probably want to wash it in a garment bag or something.I experienced nipple chaffing when I wore it on a cool day (accidentally). The material feels soft to the touch but after 7 miles (one day) or 10 miles (another day) it was painful enough that I had to take it off, and got a sunburn.
