Hawke: The Prime Minister Paperback – November 1, 2011

Quite an interesting and well documented account of the Hawke years and the power struggle between the Prime Minister and Paul Keating, then Treasurer.

- I could not believe that a biography (or a semi version?) of a such famous figure did not have even a photo. My version is a Kindle ebook, not sure about the hardcopy one.- None of eleven chapters has a title. In addition, the table of content is just sketchy. These things confuse me.- Yes, as many people know, the author is the second-wife of the subject, Bob Hawke, after many years as his mistress. The book seems praise Bob too much while underestimate a few people e.g. Paul Keating.

Interesting reading especially knowing it was written before Blanche and Hawk formalised their relationship. It is a very detailed and comprehensive record of Bob Hawk’s political life.
