Great for Data Entry
I'm a quality auditor and the majority of my job involves entering data into a laptop with a compact keyboard - which lacks a number pad. This number pad is a solid choice for somebody working with spreadsheets or data entry consistently throughout the day. The wireless usb is nice because you don't have to worry about intermittent bluetooth connections. It takes two AAA batteries, and I haven't been using it enough to attest to longevity of battery life. The mechanical switches and raised keys allow for a tacticle experience that enables you to enter the numbers by feel without looking, so that was a big win for me. The number lock key lights up blue to notify you that the keypad is connected, and turns off when you turn number lock off. The number lock for the keypad is independent of your laptop or computer's main keyboard. The blue switches are nice and clicky, but they are VERY noisy. If you need this for a quiet environment, look elsewhere.Overall it's a solid performer with good response and a high quality build. I'm sure it's a product I could pull five years out of as long as it doesn't get dropped on a hard floor. Noisy, but the keystrokes feel solid and responsive, and I can use it completely tacticle and don't have to look at it.

"Compact" = useless
I purchased this because I do a lot of data entry and need a numpad to punch in numbers very quickly.It is compact, which is good and bad...Good: takes up slightly less space than a traditional numpad. Neat. The quality and keys are very good. Great battery life.Bad: The buttons are not where your hand naturally wants to go, so you end up typing SLOWER than with a traditional numpad and making mistakes often. This renders the device basically useless. I have very small hands, so my hands are not too big for the device. The whole point of getting one of these is so that you type faster with fewer mistakes, and the compact design of this numpad nullifies that benefit.

Great pad but limited range
I bought this with the intention of using it to remotely slew a telescope.The range of the USB transmitter is only about 10 feet unobstructed with fresh batteries, which is surprisingly small for a 2.4ghz product. When I put my body between the keypad and the laptop (at 10feet) it cuts out altogether.I have wireless 2.4 ghz keyboards that are triple that range and was hoping this would be the same.The feel of the mechanical switches are great.Having a USB transmitter storage area in the battery compartment is a very nice touch.Keeping it for close in scenarios.

Lag and not soo good signal.
The build quality is great.Only problem I found was the week signal creating 250-500ms input lag and delay while having the USB receive with less than 1 meter away from the keypad.

Broke after a year.
It was good but a key stopped working after a year. I was hoping for it to last over 2 years considering the price. I was using for simple tasks and wasn't over using it as I encode more texts than numbers.

Absolutely absurd implementation of numlock I've ever seen
TL;DR this numpad doesn't workThis works fine when the numlock is off, i.e. the navigation keys work fine.The number keys, however, are a whole other story. For some reason, whoever implemented this numpad made it registers 3 scancodes whenever the numlock is on and a number is pressed: numlock-off, number, numlock-on. WHY?This will _seem_ to work at first try, but whenever you try to type anything a little bit fast into it, it simply fails to register, or registers the wrong key. If you're getting this numpad just to use its nav cluster, then you'll be fine. But if you're getting this to enter numbers, then you'll be left wondering, after every entry, whether all the digits have made it in.
