Great bag for tools and PPE (personal protective equipment)
All my leather apparel fits in the main compartment with; chipping hammer, 10" wire brush, 7R Vicegrips, 12" combination square, MIG pliers, tungsten for TIG and more. Gloves are handily found in the side elastic pouch. Welders cap and respirator go on the other side in the drawstring pocket. The best part about it is the loops on the sides. They hold; my car keys, safety glasses, flint striker, scribe, soapstone and pocket ruler. Thick shoulder straps make for comfortable carrying. Comes with a small soft lunch cooler. The hood sling is removable and the main body holds it's shape with plastic walls.Edit: Managed to fit much more; Miller Maxstar 150 S, ground clamp, stinger, Jackson NexGen, leathers, cap, respirator, tape measure, earplugs, lens wipes, spare lens, combination square, cutting goggles, safety glasses, gloves, welpers, chipping hammer, vice grips, striker and various layout tools. It was a tight fit and probably weighed between 20 and 25 lbs. Did this to impress a friend, showed up with just my bag and grinder in hand to fix a railing. He started laughing as pulled out the welder! It has held up very well for this last year I've had it as a student. Upon seeing mine, at least 5 other students bought one.

good for welders
i work at the largest shipyard in the U.S. as a welder. i have owned this item for nearly 8 months. it has seen some wear and tear, some rips and tears, that being said, it has taken a beating and keeps on going. so glad that it is fire resistant or retardant, sparks fly all around and i don't have to be worried about it. i have stuffed it to the brim, welding machine pig tails, stick whip, 2sets of welding gloves, resperator, buckeye and bur motor, chipping hammer, wire brush, and one large and one small flashlight. (might take some organization skills to do so but it can) also inside the backpack is a pouch with a zipper, i use this to hold all my small parts such as mig parts, screws+nuts, etc. the only real parts that have visable damage are the out side netting and very bottom of the backpack from wear and tare. the shield holder is a bit two sided, one side its great and protects your shield from damage and scratches, definitely won't fit inside the backpack (I'v tried). the other side is it gets caught on everything while going up and down ladders or near wires/lines (at least at my job) and can be frustrating at times. taking it off and putting it back on takes seconds though. the two wider sides of the backpack are stiffens with plastic, the two smaller sides are just material so not too much shape changes.

Great Backpack, but problems with stitching
After shopping around for a backpack that would protect my expensive helmet, I chose the Revco GB100. It arrived promptly, and was considerably larger than I expected. However this is good, if you have a lot to haul around. It took a few days to get everything organized and it certainly has a lot of pockets and places to store your tools. The one exception, I have had with it, is the stitching on the "small tool pouch" is defective and my punches, steel rules, and soapstone etc. end up in the bottom of the backpack. This is the only reason I gave it 3 stars rather than 5 stars. I realize I could probably have sent it back through the Amazon network, but I am using it every day and that is more of a hassle than its worth. I just got one of my wife's cosmetics pouches and put those items in it. Hopefully, the folks that make and sell this item, will see this review and pay more attention to their quality control since it is well-designed and functional.

Great backpack, think i got a bad batch.
CHECK YOUR ZIPPERS! I really like the backpack, but one of the zippers on the lid didn't close properly. Ordered a replacement and that had it too. Amazon is following up with the manufacturer about the issue.I'm ordering one from another site hoping it's from another batch.By no means am i saying don't buy it, just to check the zipper, and if there's an issue they'll send another while you use the other one. Not a huge deal. You can fully close it using the other zipper going all the way instead of having them meet in the middle. And the inside storage is smaller than I expected, but holds the necessities quite well. But if you need every tool you'll need a handbag of some sort.Update: got one from another site and the zippers are good. Was just a bad batch as I suspected. Absolutely recommend this bag. Won't carry everything you could want, though i have spare room for now. You might need to carry a hand bag of some sort, but i still recommend it.

Comfortable and clean looking.
It's a rigid bag for tools. Only plus I can say is the hood pouch. Zipper material is tough so itll last. But I'm worried about th cloth exterior melting from sparks in the area. Book bag design helps carry heavy loads. Will not hold a lot of tools. But basic welding tools and knee pads will fit. Maybe some sleeves too. Not a jacket will fit. I feel like certain tool will RIP the material inside. Like files and rough metal edge tools.

Good backpack, some initial zipper trouble. Works good now.
Initially I was not impressed with this backpack. However time has shown it is more capable than I thought. It regularly holds 40 lbs and the shoulder straps are holding up well. The helmet pouch is perfect and convenient. I would have likely organized the inside slightly different, but it's still quite good.

Great product, but better packaging
Very happy with the product, especially with the fact that it comes with a bonus soft side cooler. However, the box the product comes in has a large sticker of the bag right on the front, along with stickers describing the product on all four sides of the box. This is a Christmas present and a surprise was spoiled. I’ve noticed Target gives warning with boxes when this happens, so I think this should be added on here as well.

Husband loves it!
Got this as a Valentines Day gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He’s in school right now for welding and it fits everything in it that he needs for class including his books. The other guys in class are asking where to get one as well. So far it’s holding up well and doing it’s job.
