As others have said the directions are pointless. They don't explain anything and make no sense. The unit overall works fine as a training collar, but not as a pet containment or invisible fence as suggested. I bought it to use as a pet containment system. I will mention that when using as a pet containment system, the collar does not beep first. It vibrates to alarm the dog and then will shock them. It never did shock, only vibrate when being used as a pet containment. The collar would vibrate at all places in my yard so there was no place to even establish a training point to let the dog know what was a safe area or not. It didn't work so I had to return it.

If the battery is slightly low on either the collar or transmitter it will buzz on the dog three times as if they did something wrong. Battery doesn't last very long so this happens a lot. My dog shakes when we put it on now after only trying it a few times. Also the transmission is VERY spotty so if I hold the collar and walk away it will not always buzz, but sometimes when I walk back towards the transmitter it will randomly start buzzing.Instructions are also horrible in something that is maybe trying to be English. No idea if i'm supposed to be pairing the collar and transmitter or what order to turn them on. I thought that might be the reason why it buzzed every time I turned the power on but who knows? I can't tell from the manual. By the way, it's not a great idea to have it BUZZ to tell me that I just turned the power on! If it's already on the dog, it's punishing them every time I hit the ON button!We thought this would be a great solution to the wireless fence issue but no way. It's going back today.

The product vibrates at random times in my yard which are completely inconsistent, even though there is direct line of sight to the transmitter. Because of this I can't even train my dog has he is confused where the boundary line is, and it vibrates again when he is doing the correct thing and returning to the yard. There is also no sound too let the dog know he is approaching the boarder, so you can't even attempt to train him unless you keep a have on his collar to feel the vibration and tell him to stop.

Sadly , this didn’t work like I expected it too. My dog was able to run straight through the boundaries , I don’t think he even got shocked. And then other times , when he’s perfectly inside the boundaries , the collar will vibrate (the warning before the shock ) and it scares him. He isn’t doing anything bad , so he has no idea where to go or what to do. So, the bottom line is - this collar works ok as a training collar. You can vibrate/shock your dog if they are misbehaving. The fence function doesn’t work so well and might vibrate on its own , if it looses signal (I.e. a person gets between the collar and the receiver ).

This product did nothing to keep my dog in the yard. I turned it all the way up and tried it and it barely puts out a shock. Definitely returning this for a real system!
