Fresh. Great Taste! Good Price!
I can not resist this yummy mochi! Delicious. I love the sesame paste in the center of each piece. Absolutely delicious. I've bought several varieties over the past few months, but these are the best I've eaten!

Very fresh tasting
Just as I remember from an authentic Asian bakery. Soft and chewy, not too sweet. I love the crispy sesame seeds too.

Great brand
Texture and flavor are always consistent. If you like sesame, this is the mochi for you

Soft and good texture, the filling could use more sweetness
The black sesame version of filling lacks in sweetness. If you don't like sweet desserts, this one is for you. I personally have a middle of the road pallet, the peanut version was a really great level of sweetness, whereas the black sesame was lacking.

Delightful
These are absolutely delicious, something you might find perhaps at a Chinese dim sum. They are delectably soft with wonderful sesame flavor, I LOVE that they taste so fresh and not "packaged" at all. If you like Asian confections you will not be disappointed with these!

Unpleasant Taste and Texture
Ordinarily I write reviews with both pros and cons, but like other reviewers, I agree this "mochi" had a disgusting flavor and texture. The outer crust was sesame seeds, which was fine. Then there was a layer of rubbery "goo." The center was stuffed with something brown that was bitter and had an unpleasant aftertaste. My stomach wasn't happy after eating it because it tasted moldy. I can't understand the good reviews. Maybe I got a box that was spoiled and other buyers got one that was fresh. If I can, I'll return it. I certainly won't eat it.
