VHT SP155 550° Engine Enamel High Heat Spray Paint – Chrysler Red – 11 oz. Aerosol Can

I was really looking forward to trying this product for its heat resistance. On first try the cap was not easy to remove at all. The cap eventually came off and took the nozzle with it. This caused the contents of the can to begin spraying out uncontrollably. I was in the basement wash room when it went off. I ran up the stairs and through the kitchen trying to contain the spray with the cap but failing miserably. I could not get the cap back on the can. I pointed it into the garbage disposal and found a garbage bag to transfer it into. The can emptied out in the bag after about 5 minutes. My house now reeks and we are cleaning up gloss from the walls and carpet.I will be looking for something similar from a different company, but if unsuccessful I may end up trying this again.I have no idea if this product actually works.

Bought VHT Satin Black & Gold paints for our motor. Both applied very well and came out looking great. I did use Rustoleum 2000 degree primer before applying these paints to the motor. I also used the gold paint on the brake calipers and covered with rustoleum 2000 degree clear coat. DO NOT USE VHT Caliper Paint. It was terrible....but this Engine paint is great!

The absolute worst primer I have ever used! I purchased several cans of primer for a wheel painting project. Vht website recommend this primer to use prior to the wheel paint. Each can was temperamental in that at some point during the painting process it would start to spray in a different form. There was obvious imperfections on the wheel. Every thing had to be wet sanded prior to final painting. So if you think you are going to prime and paint in the same day, think again. 3 of the cans sprayed a foamy ooz prior to spraying, and then all that came out was the type of spray which caused all of the imperfections already mentioned. I highly recommend buying any other heat type primer over this. All this product will do is cause you more work! And the best of all, it’s not returnable! Don’t waste your money on this junk!

If it is your first time painting with spraycan just keep away and get something else, no instructions whatsoever and it does not spray, paint comes out like a jet wash, it feels like brake cleaner or similar stuff where you need pressure to penetrate and clean the surface, it should spray like powder, this does make the job a lot more difficult and you need to make sure to cover much larger area to not over spray everything under your car, dont understand why they could not make it like their prime but the paint is CRAP.

Used on the engine. Works really well and it has stayed put for 4 months at least (everyday driving in a turbo vehicle, seen extreme temps).

I'm only painting three bolt heads, nine nuts, four washers, two pulleys and a dipstick tube, and the coverage was awful. Using the same can of primer for all the engine parts, no problem. Using the purple I got from a different brand, tons left over and I'm painting 3x the parts. This? I had to buy a second can, just to finish three parts and a couple of nuts/bolts. Hopefully this was just a bad can. I'll update after the next can gets here. $20 to paint three parts and some minor hardware is a bit ridiculous.Deeply regret this is the only yellow I could find, or I'd have gotten a different brand and started over. Doubt I'll buy this brand again, because either the QC is crap and a bad can is a non-zero chance, or it's just bad product.

Good coverage and proper color for my circa 1960s Chrysler engine (after I tried Valspar Plasticoat Chrysler Blue which had inferior coverage and the WRONG COLOR! I will be purchasing more of these now that I know for sure it's right. One can painted the intake, the valve covers, water pump housing, thermostat housing, etc.

It is not as pictured or the same color. This is a green yes, just not the same color on the cap or as pictured. More of a darker green. If your looking for a lime, electric, atomic green. This Is NOT it. This is at least four to five tones darker that the cap. The pic shown just be prepared and add dour tones darker. Other than that the paint goes on well. Just now cannot use for my application as it would throw off everything and the tone, theme of my build

The products fine it works very well the shipping time it takes to for me to receive it is absolutely outrageous really need to do some thing about the shipping

Ist sehr leicht zu verarbeiten und bildet ein sehr nettes Finish.Selbst für mich als Anfänger war es nicht schwer damit ein gutes Ergebnis zu erzielen.Grundierung sollte natürlich vorher aufgetragen sein.
