I have several plastic lizards and "follow the leader" giant black ants on the rocks in my courtyard. Each week I move them around and our card clubs just love to check them out. Recently several of the giant plastic ants have been flipped over and/or moved away from where they were placed, but not removed from the area completely. I was told that some of our Arizona predatory birds may be to blame. ANYWAY every one comments on the ant parade.

Good for child play fake toy ants

I like the quality, durability and size of these ants. I plan to use them for fine motor lessons such as in salt trays to make beginning lines and shapes. I like that they are larger than life. They will be great for pretend play, counting, etc.

Used them for decoration on a picnic table presentation. Really cute.

We used these as part of our table decorations for a teddy bears' picnic. What a hit!! Every kid asked if they could take some home (although I did get a text message from one mom who saw one in her house afterwards and thought it was a huge spider and about died of a heart attack). We had fairly spendy party favors for the kids, but these ants stole the show. Do yourself a favor and buy extras of these and send these home as party favors!

These are not what I’d call ‘mini’. They are much bigger than i expected. I thought these would be roughly the same or SLIGHTLY larger than actual ants, but they’re huge (as far as ants are concerned). I just wish I had known. I was hoping for something that could pass as real ants at a glance. I would not have purchased these if I had known the scale.
