We opened this on our patio and boy it smelled heavy. We spread it out over patio furniture under ceiling fan and aired 24 hours. Still a faint smell but not so bad. Brought it in and put mattress cover over it. Slept pretty good last night. Husband thinks may be too soft. We will see. For now I am happy with this

Love these, I now own three an inch and a half soft and 2, 1 inch medium. I like to buy cheap hard as a rock mattresses and then create my own top. For my latest 2in of medium was perfect. For my expensive mattress in my guest room which was getting worn hard the topping that had been on it from the factory was wearing hard and flat I put an inch and a half soft on that and it is now perfect and feels like new. I could not believe that getting these mattress toppers got rid of all my neck and shoulder pain upon waking. I weigh 240 lbs, 5"3". Using a 2-inch of medium or an inch of medium and an inch and a half of soft completely alleviated the pressure points on my hips and ribs. It's amazing that I can actually lie flat on my back with my legs out straight and I feel like I'm floating on these mattress toppers and I'm completely comfortable. Call the company before buying if you have any concerns..... When I bought mine they said I could return it if it wasn't just right and that I could just set it in the box and UPS would pick it up and I wouldn't need to try to pack it back up. In fact that is the number one reason I chose this company initially. I couldn't be happier with these toppers. As for durability I expect them to last five to ten years, I've had them about a year now and certainly wear. When I spin my flippable mattress I turn the latex mattress topper over to it's other side. I done spin it.

So I ordered this 1.5" Soft Latex Topper for the top layer of my DIY Mattress for my adjustable bed and it is perfect as the very top layer. It has just the right amount of give and support since I am 195lbs and the 2" latex layer under this is a medium Vytex also ordered on Amazon.In case anyone is interested on the process used to make these toppers, it is made using a patented technology from Vytex which removes almost all the impurities and allergy causing proteins and allows the final Natural Rubber Latex (no synthetic rubber added) to be a more pure and resilient than traditionally processed natural dunlop style latex.Also they use the latest continuous pour technology which produces a more consistent latex than traditional dunlop style layer. Where a traditional dunlop core usually is harder on the bottom since the particles settled as it was being heated this new technology called continuous pour or Continuous Latex Processing uses newer heating methods which prevent that from happening producing a lighter fluffier and more even softness closer to the feel of Talalay latex. In my opinion it feels somewhere in the middle of the two methods in softness, which I prefer now that I've felt it.This also should theoretically aid in the latex topper lasting longer since it is made of a more pure natural rubber with I believe as much as 40% less impurities because of the Vytex processing technology used in the manufacturing.Anyway, I learned a lot by researching Vytex Latex online. I have no affiliation with this or any other company producing or selling Latex and I haven't received any promotional latex toppers to write this or any other review.I highly recommend this brand of latex toppers!So far I've purchased a firm, a medium and a soft for my DIY mattress and all are great in quality and feel.

I bought this topper to get relief from a too firm mattress that left me without good sleep at night due to tossing and turning from hardness on pressure points of body. i would wake daily with pain all over my body. since i have used this on my bed, I don't have the usual pain and I feel more rested than I have for years. This latex topper did not have an odor issue and is the best purchase for life well being I've made. I am a large woman, but the 2 inch soft topper supported me well without bottoming out, it is not too soft. It also is proving to not cause heat issues on my body which I am sensitive to. The latex topper has a resiliency as you put weight upon it, unlike memory foam which sinks and sort of marshmallows around you, besides the uncomfortable heat it creates from your body. A winning purchase, wish I had invested in such a topper years ago. Didn't know latex toppers existed until I started doing research to change my bed, very pleased so far.

I was naturally wary of purchasing a product with only one review - positive. After researching a bit, I chose natural Dunlop processed latex for its hypoallergenic properties, lack of chemicals and because it would not conform to my body as is the function of memory foam. Also, I had also read that for joint issues a firm mattress with a soft latex top was the suggested solution.The product arrived early and appears to be of good quality, though a couple inches width/length larger than my queen mattress (which is no problem) with no chemical smell whatsoever. I used it for the first time and noticed an appreciable level of comfort and experienced only a slight increase in the heat mentioned in memory foam reviews (but then it is winter). For me soft was definitely the way to go - medium would have been too firm.The only real negative I found was in the packaging. It was bursting from its box, tape split and only held together by 4 straps. Also, there was not the usual product information or invoice copy usually found with Amazon shipments.Bottom line: My firm mattress is much more comfortable and has fulfilled my expectations... which is a good thing for given its bulk, weight and size it would be an absolute bear to return.

LOVE this product. I bought a 1.5 inch soft topper for my daughter's twin bed because she has a dust mite allergy and latex is a deterrent for dust mites. I also needed the latex to be allergen-free to be sure no latex allergies might develop for her. Before she started using the topper, I decided to test it out, as I find my memory foam topped mattress too hot at times. The Vytex topper was cooler, which I loved, and it was both soft and supportive at exactly the same time. It made my sleep so much better, I neglected to return the topper back to my daughter until I got my own!! We swiftly ordered a topper for our bed and my other child's bed, who doesn't have allergies, but sleeps a little hot. I'm really happy with all of these purchases. I've even ordered another topper for our pull-out couch for guests and a pillow for my daughter (the one who has allergies) as well.I noticed a faint latex smell the first time I unwrapped it, but I also slept on it the first night after it was unwrapped and didn't notice any smell on that night or any nights after that.Really great topper.

The toppers we received (3 inch soft) were quite smelly. Even though we aired them for 2-3 weeks outside before use, and still the rubber/latex smell is very strong. Hopefully smell will get better as time goes on. Very comfortable.

It really helped soften a hard new mattress but I find it runs a bit hot.

This topper felt comfy. However, with each night I had a worse night tossing and turning, and my whole body had deep body aches. Each morning I had worse and worse brain fog and feeling unwell than the previous day. After 5 nights, the 6th morning I could barely function. I had no such issues prior to using this topper and the symptoms disappeared as soon as I removed the topper. The symptoms I had really surprised me as I have used Talalay latex pillows since 2001, which is why I chose a latex topper.We had packed up the topper and were deciding the best way to dispose of it when my elderly mum had to come stay with us for 2 weeks. We put the topper on a bed for her to make it more comfy for her back. As she has no known allergy to latex, I assumed she would be ok with it. Big mistake! I kick myself now because it took me 8 days to realize why she was waking each morning with worsening brain fog. By mid afternoon she would perk up. Once I removed the topper she was greatly improved.The one star is for our experience with the product. I give 5 STARS for the customer service when contacting them regarding a return/refund. Resolved to my satisfaction 100% and immediately.

Best thing I ever bought for my bed. A million times better than the horrible $90 ones you get from Sears or something. WELL worth the price considering you get a natural product, breathability, extreme comfort, and feeling like you don't want to get out of bed. Call the manufacturer (or provider) to get any advice on sizing.
