Omate X Smart Watch for iPhone and Android - Anthracite

The feel of this watch screams cheap. The OS doesn't do much other than the basics. I've owned the Gear 2, Original Pebble, Moto 360, and LG G watch R and while I did not expect this to match any of their capabilities, I had hoped this would be a good beginner smartwatch to introduce friends or family to use. The watch is bulky and does not compliment the curve of your wrist. It actually made my wrist very uncomfortable. All the other smartwatches I've listed above feel perfectly fine on my wrist.If this is all you can afford and you really want to get into the wearables, then the Omate X isn't the absolute worst choice in the world. But for that price range, you'd probably be happier with a Pebble or the upcoming Alcatel One Watch.

nice watch. But this company is out of business. there is no support on this watch. I emailed them 3 times with no replies. The watch is nice looking but if you cant put apps on it what good is it?

No additional value, no standard operating system (I had to look at it first...) and the design is better on the pictures as in the real world. I will sell this smart watch...

I pre-ordered directly and have had it for 7 days.POSITIVES* Battery life is good - 6 days for me* Notification works like a charm* Solid aluminium body* Easy to set up and get going, unlike the gear fit.* Weather works* The default watch face looks nice, but not enough choice.* The leather strap and buckle are good, and there is a spare strap.* Support have finally replied, yay. Twice !* I am told that they are working on the music player, time sync, and contact list.LIES* My eyes are obviously faulty, because it is not curved, it has a flat screen.* It does not sync the phone book. You can only call somone if the are in the call log, since the watch last connected.* There is no music player app. It was there as shipped but the update removed it.* It has not been designed by a fashion/watch designer as was claimed on its launch. It just a box with a strap.NEGATIVES* Time sync does not work, if turned on the time goes backwards by 9 hours. ANNOYING !!!* The watch box is to flat, it sits too proud and you can't feel the vibrate because its not touching the skin.* The face is too grubby now - needs a screen cover* Its is annoying to keep pressing the button to see the time.* It should have an option for me to see it all the time or every time the wrist flicks.* Answering phone calls works, but speaker is rubbish, it is impossible to understand the other person.So So* I am not sure if the pedometer works, with the low count it registers, I am dead.* Doesnt always auto-connect to the phone if I go away and come back.* Not enough apps on this watch.* The battery icon is too small, it needs at least a separate screen to see the battery life properly

In theory sounds great; in actuality, the watch is fair with many limitations, but most importantly there is no support from Omate. I have received the wrong Omate Model. After nearly 2.5 months of delays I have received a watch, but not the watch I had ordered..I have ordered the "Omate X Stephen Bennett, Stainless Steel, Limited Edition. I have made several attempts to communicate with this company. Omate's responses have taken several days..Several weeks later and Omate has not resolve this matter. Very poor support and line of communication; I'm considering to return the watch. I will not do business with Omate in the future.Pros: good battery, works with both IOS and android, notifications work, leather strapCons: Limited Apps, poor connectivity/ syncing, software needs improvement, very Poor customer Support (unable to speak with someone/just email - slow communication)

The watch itself is better than I expected but the description states a pedometer etc and for some reason it isn't on the watch. The media player doesn't work with my Galaxy note or the BLU.
