Boy Scouts Kurt Adler Glass Logo Ornament

Wish I could give it ZERO stars....First of all, I think it is really bad business for you guys to receive an order on 2/19 and not ship it until early March when the customer finally asks where the item is. Secondly, when I received this item yesterday, I was incredibly disappointed to find that the flag banner on the front is scraped looking and coming off at the bottom left. I wouldn't overlook this if I was keeping the ornament, it is so obvious but I am CERTAINLY NOT giving it to the son of some of our best friends who worked hard for 12 years to attain the very distinquished honor of being an Eagle Scout. I wanted him to have something as a keepsake that he could share with his future family, something that would be special for him that was different from knives and gear usually given as Eagle Scout gifts. How are the reviews so great?! Did they receive the real Kurt Adler ornaments and I got a cheap imitation?! I would be horrified to give something of such poor quality to anyone, no matter who they are. It looks as if someone has tried but failed to paint in the lines that were scraped off but have gotten white on the red and vice versa and apparently gave up because of needing glasses to do it or a shaking hand?! Who knows?! All I know is that I am very unhappy with the difference in quality between what I received and the picture on Amazon. It looks as if the picture that you can view larger by rolling over it has the paint done during the actual making of the ornament, not some cheap looking decal pressed on there that wasn't even done right or it wouldn't look torn/scratched off. The "Boy Scouts of America" decal on the back is just as low quality and embarrassing. I don't need anything on the back of it that looks like a "sticker" and is also coming off. Who puts stickers on a glass ornament anyway? Did Kurt Adler do this? If he did, he should be ashamed. But I have a sneaking suspicion that if Kurt Adler knew things were going out like this, with his name on them, that he would be embarrassed and horrified, as well he should. I would like my a full refund and I will not be paying to send it back, so I would like that to be worked out as well.FYI: The seller of this ornament when I bought it was JAF Gifts, not the seller that is listed now. It may be a completely different quality ornament that you get depending on who the seller is. I wish I had known that at the time of purchase.

I have been searching for an ornament that was not plastic or metal that honored the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouting. I was able to find many honoring Boy Scouting in general but not the rank of Eagle Scout. However, this one was so perfect that I am pleased that I purchased it. It is elegant in spite of the fact that it is not advertised as such and yet it is masculine looking. It blends in beautifully with any type of tree you have or can be used on a hanging stand if you do not have a Christmas tree. It makes a great gift for a young scout or a great memory for an older person who is proud to share their scouting experiences.Once I placed the order, it was packaged and sent immediately. It was well-protected and wrapped so that no damage would occur even if it had been thrown around on shipping docks during the busy holiday season!I recommend this seller and this product. Kurt Adler does beautiful ornaments and can be seen on the Home Shopping Network and in larger department stores, but the prices on this Amazon site are the best I have found.

It is a nice ornament. I got this as a gift for an Eagle Scout Court of Honor. The box was a little damaged and the ornament did not stay in the box. The design is nice and it is nice and large to make sure you can see it on a Christmas Tree. I think its nice, some places the paint was not great or match up to the design but I did not think it looked bad enough to send back nor to give as my gift. I would buy another one just cause it is unique and a nice gift.

I got this as a gift for my brother when he became an Eagle Scout. He already has so much boy scouting gear, and I wanted to get him something unique. He loved it! He told me he actually doesn't have any boy scouting ornaments, so this was perfect. He will enjoy remembering all he's learned when he puts it on the Christmas tree every year, and he'll have fun someday telling his future wife and future kids about the meaning behind the ornament.

You cant go wrong here. This is well made and looks great. If you have Scout in your family they will keep this forever. The road to Eagle Scout is an adventurous one. The ornament reminds us of all of the fun times we had and continue to have. Family is whats its all about and this represents a small part of that.

We bought this for a friend who made Eagle Scout. Even though it doesn't say Eagle Scout on it, I felt that it would be a perfect reminder of him making it. His ceremony was right before Christmas which made the ornament even better. It is beautiful and he seemed to really appreciate it.
