It's a lot of information, there may be more information than you need, depending on where you go

Not knowing east-west-north-south about Botswana, the Guide is good for this first timer to Africa safari... especially as a reference source along the way. Our safari operator set up the camps, days, a long time ago. So, comparing the where to stay and how to get there was not meaningful to me. Each region has its own uniqueness. Good to compare what I was seeing myself for the first time to what was written.

So much important information before our trip to Botswana. It is very thorough.

Well written but ebook version does not let you zoom into any of the photos/maps making them useless.

I wish I had! It is absolutely chock full of knowledge, advice and information. It is a good read in its own right about the history, geography and ecology of the region. Brilliantly written and engrossing. I read some chapters twice on holiday to absorb what is an invaluable book. As the cost of holidays/safaris in Botswana are so expensive and varied in their content/accommodation/objectives/locations/etc, this book will help you make the best selections, or at least ask the right questions. Buy it.

A very informative book. Unfortunately on delivery a few pages were damaged which spoilt the look but not sufficiently bad enough to suffer the inconvenience of returning it.
