Not for American dieters. Returning
Ingredients that were told to avoid in the front of the book were then used throughout the recipe section. Most if not all recipes are for 4,6,8 servings. Read smoothie recipe that heats oven and uses vinegar not listed in ingredients. Quantities listed in grams and milliliters.

Book has high carbs and not good recipes
I’m a type one diabetic and wanted some new low carb recipes and the recipes in the book have lots of carbs. There was also super simple recipes in the book that have been known about for years like avocado eggs. Really disappointed wouldn’t recommend! Also to return the book they charge you like $6 so I would only get $2 back so really had no choice but to keep the book.

What a disgrace!
This is a cheap-paper black and white pamphlet, not a book as the binding implies, with ridiculously few recipes, not even a single picture... in short - a scam.

Total waste of money
This is a sorry excuse for a book. The recipes mix metric and American measurements. Lousy recipes. Very little information about eating low carb. Total waste of money.

Don’t bother purchasing
Terrible cookbook- don’t bother purchasing- much better ones out there.

Cheaply made and no photos
Waste of money. Very cheaply made. The only thing in color is front page. There are no photos and it is all in black and white. Most of the recipes are for 4 people so would be a waste also. I would not buy again and I would not recommend. I will give this one away.

wonderful
Glad I got it. It's wonderful. I love the fact it has the macronutrients listed completely, that's a must with me and the layout is fine too.

Just okay
This wasn’t as quality of a cookbook as I thought it might be. There were misspelled words and recipes as simple as bacon and eggs. However, there are a few recipes that were useful, and the pictures were vibrant and appealing.

Great little book
The book starts off with an introduction on the most important facts about carbs and carries on with a list of the "no-no" foods for the duration of this new regime / diet. I like the wide range of recipes, varying from fruity to savoury, meat-free / dairy-free or completely vegan. The instructions are very easy to follow and precise. Overall, I find this book quite inspirational.

Great starting point
This is a really easy to use and clear book that will make trying a low-carb diet much simpler. The author starts by explaining what low carb diets are and makes it clear it’s a healthy choice. She gives an easy to understand explanation of what carbohydrates are and what happens in our body when we digest different food types. She talks about the Importance of moderation – you need some carbohydrates in your diet, just not too many.I found the list of what you can and cannot eat great for a quick reference. The book is intended to ease you into a low-carb diet gently, which is great because the idea of drastic change can be off-putting. There are very varied recipes divided up by meal.I’m looking forward to trying the easy spinach souffle. The snacks and smoothies sections are really useful and there are even puddings! The book finishes with a 30 day meal plan which is a great idea if you get in a rut and tend to use only a handful of recipes.

Cool little ebook with lots of healthy meal ideas that really make sense.
A lot of cookbooks sound great on paper, but in practice they involve getting loads of ingredients that you don't find in local shops. You end up scouring speciality shops for everything you need and it's just a load of hassle. This book, however, is different. It has loads of ideas for easy to make meals that won't have you wandering all over town searching for ingredients that you won't find in your local supermarket. It's well written with a good layout, perfect for preparing things in the kitchen. I'm looking forward to trying things out and putting the 30-day meal plan in action. I have to say that I'm particularly looking forward to trying out the Cauliflower Risotto with Roasted Red Peppers and Burrata.

Simple, Delicious and Exciting.
I could not be more pleased with this book, I have never been able to cook such delicious food with virtually no experience whatsoever, I was genuinely stressed at the thought of having to invest so much time and effort into preparing healthy food to get back into shape, but these recipes are so simple it's unbelievable, literally a weight off! haha, a worthwhile investment!

No pictures but keeps it interesting
I got this when it was on offer and I was apprehensive at first due to a critical review. I was not deterred by the lack of pictures, because I rarely manage to produce anything that resembles the pictures in my cookbooks and I like to be creative myself.Firstly, just couple of nuisances: one link to a recipe is missing and one set if instructions are miss-matched. Not sure if it is my old kindle or not. Some breakfast recipes take too long for my liking and hence they need to be prepared the night before. What I enjoyed was that there is a nice intro to carb-free diet, then a bunch of recipes, which seem at first glance too few for a cook book, and then a 30 day meal plan. Well, the 30 day meal plan has at least one new recipe! That means that it keeps my interest because there are more recipes than initially thought and there is always something new to try every day even if you have read and done everything up to that point (no, I didn't manage to stick to 30days, but still). Just remember to check the breakfast for the following day in case you need to prepare it in advance. One critical review mentions that there is overuse of psylium husk, well I only found 2 recipes that use it. I will not use it myself because I found out it is good for constipation :P and cholesterol. I dont mind the cholesterol. I guess its used a s bulking agent.Although calling anything "ultimate" is a bit of an overkill, overall this book does what I need it to do. It provides a collection of new recipes to try with simple instructions.

Helpful and easy to follow.
This is a really helpful book for those who are new to the low-carb lifestyle. I really appreciated the information section which broke down the science behind the diet into something clear and easy to follow. The recipes are simple and don't involve complicated expensive ingredients, ideal for the home cook. The highlight of the book is the month of meal plans - it really takes the guesswork out of setting up a new lifestyle.

Terrible.
Not sure why this book gets such good reviews ,it is very poor .The recipes are very uninspiring and it includes bread and potatoes in some of them ,not what I call low carb.It was so poor I returned it to Amazon.

If you get the impression that this book is for the uk kitchen and ingredients think again
I have never seen a low carb diet book that says, don't eat potatoes and then puts them in the main meal recipes. That has only one salad in the book, Vegetables that we are told are a no go are in other recipes. We all have such items as Harissa paste in the UK larder, don't we? Next to that well known and very expensive British Avocado.
