100 Black Oyster Mushroom Spawn Plugs/Dowels to Inoculate Logs or Stumps to grow gourmet and medicinal mushrooms - Grown Your Own Mushrooms for Years to Come

This mushroom spawn was very dense with mycelium, more so than other suppliers I have used. It was nicely sealed in a bag and was good and moist and with no mold. The plugs had to literally be pulled apart, and I used the excess mycelium to stuff down into the holes before tapping the plugs into my logs. No instructions, and I was not able to access the website through my browser. I have done mushroom logs before, so I knew what to do without any instructions. Looks like a good batch of spawn, and hopefully will colonize my logs quickly.

Other Amazon reviews state that the plugs are defective. My case was extreme. The plugs were partially decomposed, and the baggie was far too moist (see photos attached). What is worse, when I opened the bag it released a cloud of black powder. I inhaled some of it, from which It took some time to recover.I attempted to get a refund through the Amazon portal and was told there is no refund or exchange on this item. I then tried to contact the manufacturer, BetterFungi, and did not find contact information.I finally called Amazon to complain, and they quickly agreed to refund my purchase.The moldy plugs went to the trash.

Received the plugs today, they were absolutely covered with mycelium, in fact stuck together with chunks of mycelium, and that just has to be good! Can't wait to try 'em out.

The baggie was entirely black. Opening it released a cloud of black powder spores. NOTHING Of value here. I'm going to have to burn the baggie and sterilize my hands.Update: They quickly sent a new batch that had lovely and very thick mycellium. I've put it in a log and if it takes and fruits, I will give them another star. Customer service is very quiet, but also very efficient.

I bought three different mushroom spores from this company. The package came super quick! I have them in the fridge as I am waiting to inoculate the logs. The instructions are basic but has a website to go to with detail I structuring and a video. The wood dowels look great and are covered in growth already. I will come back and update once I’ve inoculated the logs and then once they have grown mushrooms. I’m super excited and I hope I grow something this year. But I don’t expect to grow much this year. The website and instructions do specify that it can take 1-2 seasons to grow the mushrooms.

Spawn arrived very quickly and seems more established than plugs I've bought from elsewhere. Looking forward to seeing them thrive.
