The cat food that’s enjoyable and practical and workable that my cat loves to eat.
My cat loves to eat this which is quite a relief as sometimes it is hard to find something that he likes and will have for longer period. This definitely is one of them.

Smaller Food Size, Good Value
This is the only non-prescription dental cat food I could find that had smaller dry food pieces. My little cat needs dental food, but her teeth and mouth cannot handle the size of other brands. This food has been great. The bag came filled to the brim of the packaging and it has an easy close bag. The price was less than most other dental food options. I have not noticed a “cat food” scent either which is nice. We will be buying this from now on.

My cat's favorite dry food- and good for her teeth
Since my cat was a kitten I offered her two different types of dry food ( plus some wet food) just so she had variety. I don't free willy nilly give her dry food, I measure it out daily. But I think I should just focus on giving her this dry food because she eats it first and leaves the other dry food behind for the most part. She seems to really love the big kibble bites and that is part of helping with her dental. It helps scrub off plaque. I thought the big kibble may be an issue for her but nope she loves it and breaks it down in many pieces and then eats those pieces. Good food for her and her teeth.

Cats love this Vet-approved food!
Rescue kittens came to us eating a big brand with “pro” in name. That huge company kept changing their formula. Cats refused new, in spite of buying up bags of the old formula to do proper transition mixing, gradually decreasing older formula. Cats just picked around the new. When only the new formula remained, they would not eat—at all. With vet advice, waited it out for 3 days. They did not eat one morsel! Had asked vet for recommendations, just in case. Started w/ least expensive 1st. They threw up each one until we got to the priciest-Royal Canin (naturally, lol). They love it! Have been a few formula changes over the couple years we have used; our cats have loved all, no problems, no refusals, no vomiting. We actually feel it is worth it’s high price, as the quality seems to match. One of the cat’s had somewhat coarse fur, her coat changed quickly to silky velvet, yay! So if you can afford it (& we researched around to find best pricing) it is a great brand. We use 1/2 this & 1/2 hairball formula. We add in a little bit of the dental formula too.

Nice larger piece forces the cats to bite it - cats like the flavor
ReviewsByMuse I supplement my cats' regular dry kibble / wet food diet with this dental care dry food. I mix it in with their kibble so that they get several pieces with each feeding. They are larger pieces and have a unique groove in them. I like it because the regular dry food is smaller and they have to actually bite this one to chew it up. My vet hasn't had any complaints on their teeth, so it must be doing something good.

Very large chunks
I wish my cats would have liked it. They ate it once and then wouldn’t touch it again. I think the chunks are just a little too big for cats. I know that that’s the purpose, but these are really huge and may be why my cats wouldn’t eat again.

Add a Small Amount of This to Their Other Food
The trick with this formula is to use it judiciously. As a human companion, you must figure out the optimal amount to add to your owner's . . . er . . . I mean . . . uh . . . "feline friend's," regular cereal. Too much will produce the effects noted by other reviewers, namely frequent vomiting. Too little, and its addition is pointless as it has little to no effect and yet is high in calories. My human companion adds 1/8 cup (about fifteen pieces) to 1 cup of other meat cereal and then divides this between my brother's and my bowls. She knows how much to add because she titrated the amount, checking my breath with various increments of this formula. I have Feline Tooth Resorption (FORLs), a fairly common disease that causes horrific dental pain and tooth loss. At age 6, I now have only 12 of my original 20 teeth, despite my human companion's diligence and frequent professional cleanings. I also have a wee bit of a weight control issue, or so I'm told. Furthermore, I flat out refuse all the customary hairball pastes (Femalt, Laxatone, Petromalt, and the like). As a true connoisseur of meat cereals, and being of Meezer ethnicity, before I was diagnosed with the aforementioned conditions, I was accustomed to eating only the finest cereal the world has to offer, Royal Canin Dry Cat Food, Siamese 38 Formula, 6-Pound Bag , which I highly recommend to anyone without these issues. However, due to either my husky physique, or, more likely, an evil plot to alter my otherwise excessive sex appeal, I have had to switch over to a low calorie formula, Royal Canin Dry Cat Food, Indoor Light 40 Formula, 15-Pound Bag . Though scrumptious, this food does nothing to help my dentition. So, my human companion mixes in a small amount of this formula, Royal Canin Dry Cat Food, Oral Sensitive 30 Formula, 6-Pound Bag . My brother, Maxx, is Balinese and has long hair. Since he and I made a pact, long ago, to never eat hairball paste under any circumstance, we tend to have problems with hairballs. This dental formula, though, actually allows us to pass hair in the more sophisticated manner, without vomiting. My human companion learned that this food is designed for both dental health and hairball control from the Royal Canin Representative she met in one of the Big Box Brick&Mortar Pet Supply stores a few years back. Since that time, the company has added this information to the labeling on the bag. (OK, now you're curious. So I'm just going to have to say it, though I tried to avoid such crass talk. We pass our ingested hair in our feces. It's far better than hearing us yak.) One final point. Once you determine the optimal amount for your . . . you know . . . cat, then make sure you mix it into the other cereal well. My companion actually stirs it with a spoon. I say this because if I eat too many pieces of this food all in a row, I puke. Same goes for Maxx, and from reading other reviews, I'm thinking other fine felines everywhere. You can read my human companion's endorsements to follow in the Comments section, if you are so inclined. Have a wonderful day, and take a purr.

Inflammation will not stop my cat enjoying the kibbles
My cat is very finicky about his food, but he loves the kibbles. He has severe gingivitis produced by tartar. So far this food is helping. I am placing a lot of hope on this food, and I trust the Royal Canin.

Prevents the need for dental intervention/surgery when your cat gets older. Well worth the cost.

My cat loves the taste. She eats more and don’t stop. I Had to make a game of every meals so she takes time-out between each bites.

After my cat needed teeth removed.. even while me cleaning them… I started using this cat food.. ever since his teeth have been great!! The chunks are big enough that he has to bit it into smaller pieces… helping to clean them and reducing plaque. This cat food seem expensive… but a lot cheaper in the long run than the $3000 vet bill I had to pay to get his teeth done ..👍 Since this post they have changed the shape and look of this food… and my cat won’t eat it …grrrrr….
