Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, Special

I just had to repurchase Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory what a classic I didn't realize that it was such a wonderful CD we will surely Miss Gene Wilder and his touching song to pure imagination! I'm 52 years old and the song has made me cry for over a month God bless both Gene Wilder and his former spouse Gilda Radner we will really miss them both!!

Bought because Apple Music inexplicably provides only 7 tracks of this album. Brings back memories! Wish more of the Ompa Lompa songs were included, but the best of the film are here.

Ahh--these terrific songs from a childhood classic.The auto-rip feature is great, so I could start listening right away.I appreciate how these songs are true to the movie--at least my memories of it. I haven't compared them "side by side," though.The quality is better than I expected.Listening to these songs takes me right into the movie, and when one fits my mood, I'll sometimes just loop it over and over.I'm very happy with this nostalgic purchase.

I bought this CD for one of my students who loves Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory songs. We allow him to hear a song as part of his reward system.

This cd brought all the songs to life. I listen to this cd all the time. Pure imagination is my favorite then the oompa loompa songs.

Brought the movie so just thought that I get the musical CD to put in my collection. I love this movie and some of the songs in the movies are classics. I like the fact that I was able to buy the CD in the original form and get it shipped to me but also get it added to my prime account after I order it that day.

Again, like Rio soundtrack (q.v) I was a little taken aback that this recording last just under 40 minutes. What you get is incidental music and songs from the film, as well as dialogue and sound effects. One of these, Everlasting gobstoppers/Oompa-Loompah (Track 10) is just a lot of confusing sounds, followed by the Oompa-Loompah's song. The bubble machine (Track 11) is my least favourite track on the disc. The music is fine, but the sound effects include the whole burping sequence and as mentioned in the earlier review of the the movie (q.v) I did not like it then. The quality seems to dip slightly in the Wondrous Boat Ride (Track 9). Favourite tracks are 2(The Candyman),4(Cheer up Charlie),6(I've got a golden ticket),7(Pure imagination) and 12(I want it now!.) There are some good incidental pieces as well, and for under £5, it's not bad value.

I have always enjoyed the film version of  Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory  ever since I was a small child. The stiry was the main draw but the soundtrack and songs are also very good. This collection has all the songs and a few instrumentals as well that come in at important parts of the film.If you know the film well then you can easily recognise what is going on with the story by the music, and the story is told through the music (in a way). In the most part the tracks could be extracts from the film as there are cast voices during the pieces. This, to me, adds to the charm of the collection. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

I was looking for this CD for years.It's basically the songs and music as you hear them in the film.Very nostalgic, lovely.

As far as a functional soundtrack goes it's good. But giving that several songs are missing (Oompa lumpas songs for each child's demise) one feels this could be re-released with additional choice dialogue & all the songs plus a beautiful booklet.Instead all you get here is a cd of a vinyl soundtrack album. Good but functional at best.

Bought for a young one who loves Willy Wonka. I can't get the songs out my head :)(Arrived promptly and is exactly what was wanted :) )
