I have been using this device for a few months now and so far it works great. It actually seems to outperform my other external hard drive in terms of speed. I use it mainly as a back up drive for all my important files, and when it comes time to copy them over, it is quick and easy. I simply plug it in and begin sending files over. Files transfer quick and without any problems. I also like that it is slim and compact, making it easy to store. Definitely a great piece of hardware for the price.

I loved the size, capacity and the price. But none of that matters if a hard drive doesn't work on my MAC laptop. It was immediately recognized by my MAC. Yet when I was trying to transfer files I needed to be backed up it never accepted any transfer of any file type.I searched for a fix in the user manual but the translated instructions didn't make much sense and there was really no remedy offered. Before buying I must have missed the question another MAC purchaser with the identical problem asked. There were no answers offered by either buyers or the manufacturer to his question so I am at a total loss as how to maybe format? or fix this problem.I am sorry to have to return it but I seem to have no other option.

Bought a similar one with 3.0usb speed. It is super fast uploading/downloading speed. My old 2.0 hard drive was full, and I’m replacing it with much more storage space one, and this 3.0 is much faster than my old one. Very satisfy!
