UtechSmart Venus Gaming Mouse RGB Wired, 16400 DPI High Precision Laser Programmable MMO Computer Gaming Mice [IGN's Recommendation]

When I bought this mouse after hours of searching, I had very high expectations for it. I'm happy to report, It has exceeded those expectations.Build Quality: Right out of the box, I was impressed with the overall build of the mouse. It does not at all feel cheap,It has a healthy amount of weight even without the 2.4-gram weights installed, and the rough textured surface of the mouse made sweat and grease slippage a thing of the past. The overall sturdiness of the mouse makes me believe it'll last me at least 3 years, and the braided cable is strong and more than long enough for most people.. Although I have relatively large hands so this mouse is perfect for my hand size, I would not recommend for small hands. Which Is why for the sake of objectivity, I must take off one star for the build.Ergonomics: This Mouse is absolutely the most comfortable mouse I've ever used, and I have used more mice for gaming than your "average person". The right and left click are perfect so far, and the same goes for the scroll wheel. The 12 macro buttons are clicky enough to where I feel that It's reciprocating enough feedback to my fingers to let me know that I'm pushing them hard enough. The buttons have a little resistance, but that is understood since you really don't want to push them unintentionally. They are easy to press but will take just a little getting used to for somebody who's never used a mouse with that many buttons.Software: The software downloading process is very easy. Just plug in the included USB key, and it'll open a dropbox for you to directly download it. The software works perfectly, and it offers more than enough macro key customization for the average gamer. It's intuitive enough to where it's easy to use but complex enough to where it's not underwhelming or bare bones. All buttons and functions are completely programmable form what I've seen.Conclusion: This by far is the best mouse I'll likely ever use anytime soon. the price relative to the features is simply unbeatable. You are not gonna get quality like this for such a small price anywhere else. For those reasons, I believe this is the best mouse on amazon. But the best reviewer is yourself. But I guarantee you if you buy this mouse disappointment is completely impossible.

This is my first "gaming" mouse, I shopped around quite a bit looking for quality, features and price.This is the best value by far.Solid construction, great feel for the surface finishes. Interesting but not overly aggressive look (some gaming mice look like kids' Transformer toys).More features for the price than comparable Razer product while retaining a high quality look and feel.It takes a little getting used to... the wheel button and side buttons feel a little stiff, but I believe this is because they were beefed up in response to customer complaints about previous versions (taking customer input into account, wow!) and hopefully I'll adapt/they'll loosen up and it means they'll last longer.I bought a Razer Tartarus key pad for about the same price... I am happier with this mouse. They both feel like they're from the same company in terms of quality (high) and style, but the mouse has internal memory for 5 profiles and includes programable multi color led lighting. The keypad only features one light color and no internal memory... those options added a lot more to the price tag.I have yet to even use this for gaming. It is amazingly useful for so many things... I have been programming it for use in my office, making working with Excel that much easier by giving me one button access to editing (select, select all, copy, cut, paste, find, replace AND macros for inserting functions) without ever taking my hand of the mouse which increases my productivity alot.Same thing in Adobe Photoshop and other design software, including 3d modeling... it is just awesome to have one button shortcuts at my thumb tip for any useful tools... I've even set it up to make using my desktop and browsing that much easier and more convenient.It may not be perfect, but I absolutely recommend this mouse as a top of the line gaming or productivity mouse in quality, features and value. Please support UTechSmart... they are a small and new company but this mouse has seriously made me a fan. I hope to see more products like this from them (I will definitely be getting their gaming keyboard sometime in the future and would gladly trade in my Razer Tartarus keypad, which is very nice, for a UTechSmart the minute they make one).I don't usually gush like this, or even write reviews... I am that impressed.

Listen folks, this UtechSmart Venus Gaming Mouse, it's fantastic, just tremendous. I had this beautiful Razer Naga, loved it, the best mouse, but it stopped working, which was sad. But, you know what? I found this UtechSmart Venus and it's like, wow, a temporary replacement? More like a permanent upgrade!The buttons, there are so many, like 18, can you believe that? It's like having an army of buttons at your fingertips. The DPI, folks, it goes up to 16400, that's yuuuuge, the highest, making every move so precise.And the RGB lighting? Beautiful, just stunning. It's like a light show when you're gaming. The comfort, let me tell you, it's like sitting in the best chair in the world, made for gaming.So if you're looking for something to replace that beloved Razer Naga, which was amazing by the way, the best, the UtechSmart Venus, it's not just good, it's great, it's tremendous. A real winner. Tremendous value, tremendous performance. I give it five stars, the best!
