I shoot 3D with a Sony 3D camera and they look great using the Eyefly3D vid app
I just bought the Eyefly3D nanoglass for my iPhone 5s. I shoot 3D with a Sony 3D camera and they look great using the Eyefly3D vid app. I am only giving a 3-star rating because of the limitations in the free supporting app - not the actual EyeFly3D Nanoglass. They have to be rated together since neither works without the other. That said - here are my suggestions for turning the Eyefly3D into one of the greatest tools for viewing 3D videos on iOS and Android devices.Personally, I rather see an app that runs in the background that allows you to pick the viewing mode you desire between regular 2D, half-frame side-by-side, full-frame side-by-side, or anaglyph 3D (red/cyan) while letting you use your regular apps to manage and view the videos. The Eyefly3D should only be used to select the viewing mode regardless of the app/video being used/viewed.If a background app to control the viewing mode is not possible then I would like to see the following suggestions considered for the basic requirements for the Eyefly3D app.Make the app compatible with NAS and other existing streaming apps such as PLEX, Media Streamer, etc. which give the viewer the ability to access their 3D libraries without having to place the file on their device.Have the capability to directly access attached storage devices such as the PNY Duo-Link and the SanDisk iXpand to watch ones 3D library....and the capability that is of the greatest importance to me would be the ability to link directly with my own personal streaming servers such as my RAVPower FileHud or one of my Seagate GoFlex Satellite WiFi drives.Lastly. I would like to see the ability to switch between half-frame and full-frame SBD 3D as well as anaglyph 3D built into the Eyefly3D Vid app. These would give the viewer the ability to watch most 3D videos and in the correct aspect ratio.Without these capabilities Eyefly3D is really nothing more than a novelty without any practical application of being able to access ones 3D library. I feel that a person will quickly tire of continually having to place 3D videos in their limited storage space on their iOS or Android devices.I feel that you have done the hard part already with the development of the Eyefly3D face plates and have a very good product. With the suggested software development you will have a great product that moves well beyond the novelty aspect....and one question - why aren't there Eyefly3D faceplates for the iPad mini and the Kindle Fire HD and HDX?

Nope.
I had to try it. I was too curious. But don't buy this. It doesn't do what you what it to do. You will be disappointed.I had to wiggle my phone back and forth to get the slightest hint of depth, which was often too blurry to appreciate at any level. Yes, it's tricky to install; the positioning has to be just right, but mine was fine. It's just not a good product. You don't know me, Amazon review reader person, but I ask you to trust me on this. Buy a View-master instead.

Do not buy, no use.
Total waste of money. Completely ruined cleanness of iPhone's retina display. After several hours of using my phone outside of EyeFly3D app (reading, etc.) my eyes were sore as hell. I had to remove the screen from my phone and I'm not going to put it back. 3D is not impressive also.
