Ethereal Confections - Heirloom Cocoa Tea / Chocolate Tea

Brew this tea with a dash of Stevia and it's like drinking chocolate. It helps with curbing a sweet tooth if you are fasting or trying to cut down on chocolate. I love this tea and wish I had discovered this sooner.

After a trip to Guatemala, touring coffee plantations and learning how to make dark chocolate I was really excited about purchasing cocao husks to make a good flavoring for a honey wine. Finding a really good product at a good price was important to me.This particular product is made from the roasted husks of the cocao bean, it also has small pieces of the nibs. For the price in comparison to other like products this is a much better value and is packaged very nicely. I purchased several, and it's in my recommended list of ingredients in my handouts when I share my dark chocolate vanilla honey wine recipe "Take me to Antigua"I have bought this for gifts for chocolate loving friends that are fanatical about added ingredients and whole foods. Thank you for offering up this wonderful product. I would be very sad if it disappeared.

This tea is so delicious! It is very similar to hot chocolate, but without the grittiness. I was concerned that it would have a watered-down taste, but it doesn't. The flavour is very strong and chocolatey. I have tried it iced and hot, and with and without cream and stevia. It was good every way. My favourite way to drink it is hot with a bit of cream and stevia.I recommend using a tea infuser with this product. A lot of the pieces of cacao float, so it's better to steep them like tea. I do still have issues with small amounts in the bottom of the cup, but it works out fine if you just stop drinking when you get very close to the bottom.This product has easily become one of my favourite teas! I already bought another container, and plan to buy many more in the future.

I seldom, Very seldom write reviews, but reviews helped me find this wonderful tea so I am doing my bit.Bottomline - this is NOT hot cocoa and I am amazed at anyone who expects to enjoy it in place of cocoa without benefit of milk or cream and sugar/sweetener. That having been said - here is my own method of enjoying (and truly feeling I've gotten a satisfying chocolate fix) this tea.1) I use a full tea infuser (about a Tablespoon of tea)2) I let it steep at least two minutes, covered.4) I use a healthy dose of Splenda (I know, I know :) and I don't care) along with whole milk.It's delicious and I love it!

This is okay, not best quality, cocoa tea, which is mainly made from a chocolate byproduct and is very cheap to produce. Like all the other cocoa tea on Amazon, this is really far too expensive for regular drinkers but one of the best options on Amazon. So it gets 4 stars. In a vacuum, it would get 2.5.

I first found of this products existence through the products offered by the bulletproof exec (bulletproof coffee guy, major snake oil salesman). This one is a bit cheaper and much better quality! His tasted kind of waxy and a little off. This one tastes like I'm drinking a brownie. I mention the other guy because it's the only 2 vendors I've ever seen offer thus stuff.I find it calming and energizing, but without caffeine. That is, I've read that this supposed to be almost caffeine free, correct me if I'm wrong.

Love this tea, chocolate flavor without the heaviness and necessity for cream or milk. It is loose tea, resembles nut shells. I dump around two tablespoons in a 12 oz mug with two packets of Splenda. Feels indulgent even when doing the intermittent fasting diet. Definitely will become a staple in my pantry.

I've been trying several brands of cacao tea, and while this one smells great, it is just shells, no nibs, so it produces a weaker, less flavorful brew. I am going to combine it with some nibs to drink it rather than waste it, but it isn't my favorite.
