First digit stands for the year "0" for 2020, and "217" for the day of the year (217th day). For example, 9217 would mean 217th day of 2019, 8217 would mean 217th day of 2018, etc. Note: Since it is a long-term storage, the shelf life will depend on the conditions under which you store the food.
