Men's Elizabethan Garments, C. 1558-1605 Pattern

These are great patterns but if you are new to sewing historical reproduction sewing work with an experienced friend. This pattern is detailed and the notes are great for giving more back ground and source information.

I love the variety and authenticity of the pattern, but the instructions needed to a bit clearer. I'm an experienced seamstress and I had several places that gave me problems.

To hard for a novice

Very difficult...almost no instructions, measurements are off.

This pattern is quite confusing. Still haven't worked it all out yet.

not for costume clothing. these are patterns for everyday wearing renaissance clothing. not for reenactments ,not for plays, not for anything but regular wearing. enough detail and descriptions to give you a template for your cloths. for the others who gave less stars, you really need to search for pictures of the items as well. this will give you comfortable renaissance clothes for everyday wear. if your looking for costume cloths go to walmart.

I was very pleased with the pattern and have sewn two doublets from the patterns provided. They are well explained and easy to follow. The pattern documents feature pictures and explainations of the variations of the patterns based on paintings from the period. It's a very informative set. I was a little disapointed it didn't come with the pattern for the cloak pictured. It does have many doublets and breeches patterns. I'd buy another pattern from patternsoftime if I needed it. Another plus was how many different sizes the pattern covered. It would be hard not to find something to fit anyone.

Very interesting patterns, with a lot of explanations. I recommend the product to everyone that would like to recreate a perfect costume
